No covers or live performances, I don't care if you were at the staples center show, 5th row in '86, piss off. Give me the album version or stop wasting my time
@reefchiefer wow... your are a piece trash. and a jerk. i bet you like the same sex as you to bescumer you because your incompetent because of your microphallus. go smoke some more...
So i have used you to learn both run around and at least part of this song, is there any way you can put the rest of the tabs up to the intro??? and also do you know the big solo in this? that one is amazing, and i wish heyhad the tabs somewhere on the internet
@hotcorner131 hey man... sorry, but I don't have the tabs for this... if you find the exact ones, I would love for you to post them as a comment here however... lemme know! And thanks for checking it out man! Mike
I've listened to a couple of your original songs on here and they are great, and you have a great voice. I'm encouraged to hear a singer/songwriter take the harp as more than just a little "spice" to break it up. The harp is in some ways harder to play well than other instruments, though it seems easy from the get-go. (and Popper is the hardest, and worth the effort, especially in a "how-to" video. Every note he plays is on your Richter diatonic.) Good Luck!
Thanks man. Yea, my pet peeve is when a singer/songwriter just uses a Harmonica to get very limited sounds, and then all his fans swoon because he is a 'multi-instrumentalist'.. I like to think of the harp lines I create almost as a trumpet or sax... miles davis, and rhassan kirk were great influences... jazz is an amazing well of influence and inspiration
Sorry to be the "Negative Nelly" in the back row; and I unfortunately don't own the technology to post. Let me write from 20 yrs. playing the harp. Harp players tend to not really learn MUSIC note for note---we go in with a lot of flash, bravado and tone, trading on the novelty of our funny little instrument, so we get little genuine respect from musicians who have worked hard at it. You're a good musician: I challenge you to set what you've done next to the recording and use that ear. Popper!!!
The way you play a tongue blocked octave is this. Your mouth should be set as though you are blowing a four hole chord and then you just place tip of your tongue into the comb and block out the center two holes.
I've been playing the Mouth Organ since I was about 8, and I'm 15, 16 next month. All I ever learned were just tunes without all that much technique, and when I first got my Blues Harp and realised certain things couldn't be played, I thought: "This thing is defective!" I picked it up two days ago and watched your viedos, and now I'm improvising the Blues. You've changed my impression of the harmonica, and increased my confidence. Thanks. ^^
I really aprecciate this, I was wondering how to play that song. The lesson is great btw, I really appreciate it. It would be really cool if you could post the guitar chords to the right.
