OMG, it's only now that I discovered your vids. I was looking for tips and tutorials on how to sytle my long hair. I have very long, straight black hair. It reaches down to my butt, very thick and heavy but i don't want to cut (not just yet). I sure gonna try this one, thanks for uploading!
BTW, I think I made up a new hairstyle of my own... I call it the spiral or circular braid but maybe there's a more official name or someone might have a vid of it somewhere, IDK, I'm still mastering it.
I just found out your videos and gosh I'm loving them!! your personality it's really bubbly and totally love the hairstyles, can't wait to try them on my little sister!! I'm totally subbed!: D
@waterlily716 Maybe. You'll just have to try it and see. I like the giant bobbies for this one because I can slide them in vertically and they disappear - Also? U pins won't hold the full weight of my hair by themselves.
torrin do you have a french twist tut? i couldn't find it and i'm having trouble mastering it... idk if you can do your hair in a basic twist because your hair is too long... mine kinda is too. maybe something similar? thanks! love your videos and your hair!
@waterlily716 I can't do a French twist any longer - I simply have too much hair. I have been experimenting with something Habioku recently out up though...it's french twisty. We'll see.
How do you get your hair to be so strong. Your hair is amazing and gorgeous! I have long, curly hair but it gets thin near the bottom. I was wondering if you use any shampoo, or have any special tips. Thank you.
Torrin.... You're clips are AMAZING! I started working Ren Faires and needed ideas for Court updos...I'm also getting married next year, and am looking for ideas for a non traditional updo. Your vids are easy to follow!!! thanks for being so great!!!! I LOOOOOVE THE MOSARRA!!! AND THE VINTAGE UPDO!!!
I've been watching your videos and I must say something about how you explained it, it finally clicked to me! I'm experimenting with my hair now :) I've watched several on braiding but yours were a great help ! Thanks !
You have helped me so much with new hairstyles for my long hair...just wanna say Thank You...I get tickled at you talking about your ol man..I thought I was the only one who said that anymore..mine is a Biker so that is why I call him that..is yours?
@pink4evs He's a boy and his name is Murphy Finnian...but usually we just call him Smurphy because we are weird doggie parents. He is sometimes also referred to as Ninja Pig...because he's kind of snorty at times but also can move through this house on silent ninja feet and turn up in the weirdest places. :o)
That looks awesome!! it would be better if you could face your camera to the back of your head when doing the pinning up and all. with that said it was an awesome tutorial and you rock!
I've watched almost every video you did and totally love everyone of your do's. I wish you were me sister. We are so much alike. I mean the hair thing. You have so much talent. I just have a lot of hair. I have the red hair color and thickness, just not quit as long, yet as yours. But you have given me so much to do with my hair. I normally just either hot iron it straight or ware it in a ponytail. I never know what to do with it until now. Thank you so much.
Very nice braid hiding technique! I saw Masaras signature pics on her post just below yours in the LHC forums from 5/30/09 (on the subject of dumbest hair comments) and was hoping you would also do her ropey crown braid that she has at the far right of her signature picture. I hope that it's deceptively simple, too!
OMG, I just wanted to let you know that I was in Sally Beauty yesterday and finally found the Good Hair Days pins, and thanks to your videos I picked up a pack!
AMAZING pins... thank you so much for putting the bug in my ear... these are AWESOME!!
Well technically I know how to french braid and I've done lots of them to other people. But on my own head I somehow manage to end up with a big mess on my head and tons of knots in my hair
I love this one! Add a couple of accent braids, and with the sparkles and all, it'll be dynamite with my fav dress :-D
The swoop-bun is really interesting too, but it won't work well with my hair at this point. So I'll have to think of a way to work with the general idea, and see if anything can be created, that would also fit my weird head. :-)
Thank you sooo much for the inspirations, and have a great trip!
I do it in similar fashion, but I don't do it with a french braid. just a regular one done at the nape of the neck and then fold it up and pin it.
i got this idea from my mum, she does a high pony tail, braid it and then pin it at the bottom (at the neck) with twisting the end behind the braid and few pins at sides to secure it. maybe this would be easier for girls with shorter hair.
Love the braid, as always... love your nails too... I saw the vid with all your nail products... you should do a tutorial on how you do your nails....
I love Alton Brown, Mario Battali and Guy Fieri...although I will watch others every now and then. I made Paula's Chicken Pot Pie with Puff Pastry topper...geez, I felt my arteries harden while we were eating it. It was really good...but I have to stay away from Paula's rich cooking...so many calories...lol.
These last two hairstyles have blown my mind! I wish I had more than one head! You've helped determine how I'll wear my hair to a wedding I'm attending in October! You don't know what a relief that is!
Btw, I adore your blouse and matching jewelry! You look gorgeous! Go have fun!
It looks almost like a tucked Dutch braid. I love it. It looks beautiful. I especially like your big chunky braid. It just shows how ridiculously much hair you have.
I love your videos, I feel like I'm having a conversation with you because your narration is so warm and you talk about yourself, your life, and give advice like you're our best galpal! Have fun in Vegas, can't wait for your return.
I know this is a little offtopic, but I think I'm the only person in the world who can't manage to keep their nails nice for the duration that they're drying.
I'll always think they're dry, and get those icky glumps in it from so much as lightly touching something.
You need to get yourself one of the quick dry top coats...you can put it on while your nails are still wet and they're completely dry in about 2 minutes. Total lifesaver.
You can make a French braid tight at the nape of your neck by crosing over the last two sections to opposite sides...check out my revisiting the french braid video if you need to see what I mean.
OMG, I totally wore this almost daily in High School.
