that's a fascinating paradox! About the only way I can "prove" my work is when someone asks me to rid their house of a bothersome ghost (poltergeist) and after i make contact and move them on, the folks say, "Well there's no more ghost activity here".
And that's not proof, it's just close to proof. It really comes down to trusting in the process.
The part where you explain the rules of contacting the dead to 'susan' was as brilliant as it was disturbing. I don't think you can speak to the dead. Having said that I don't doubt you genuinely believe that you can.
