It could be! This song itself is about the sometimes harsh life of women who live in the mountains, and I think Hmong people may be among the people she talks/sings about. But I'm not entirely sure, so don't quote me on it. c:

According to the booklet with the album, the "Hu Lu Sheng" instrument is played in this song. I'm not sure if it's the same instrument, but I hope this information helps! c:
@Ex925 Well there certainly is a player on the right of Dingding with a pipa, yes, but there may well be lusheng music on the track itself. I'm not an expert either! :P
She is brilliant live, i wish a lot more people would be more culturally accepting and open, a lot of people i know dont appreciate beautiful music like this anymore.
