@iTayHD Hi, we certainly did! After months of planning, dividing the road into 16 zones (300 meters / 292 seconds), a week of walking the high street, marking where people and groups should be. Feeding this back to the music producer who had to ensure that the recording reflected the video concept. Once we had the guide music track (5 days before the shoot), final adjustments and on the day we placed everyone on markers, which was second-specific and got this on the 7th take after rain!

I do not live in RWB but one of my colleagues does and she has been very heavily involved in the charity single - the people of this town are the embodiment of everything that makes this country great. Their dedication and unwavering support shown to the relatives of our troops being repatriated was exemplary, the Queen thought so and honoured the town with Royal status. The least we can do is help then get to No 1 before the Military wives song is released. It's a small price to pay.

@MWCno1 All money goes to charity. 25% each charity. We've raised over £12k so far and going well. No one is getting paid from admin, distribution, production, post-production, marketing etc. It really is a charitable project with no money going to anyone apart from charities. @MWCno1 I'm not one of the Producers (who volunteered freely) but I believe this has been replied to. Each of the charities gets an 25% of proceeds from Charitable donations. Individual charges and agreements on down load sites mean they may retain a small handling fee but that is private to them and you should direct enquiries to them. All money given to the WBR from the down load sites is divided equally between the 4 military charities with no handling fee from Wooton Basset Rocks. Piecenlove

Very moving video. I love the way the lad starts walking down the street on a damp Autumn day and by the end the sun is shining. You can't fake stuff like that and it adds to the emotion of the video.

UPDATE: Busy behind the scenes since official release on 27/11, after 64 hours we’d reached no.3 in the Amazon rock chart & 183 in UK's official chart! We’ve hit 19 countries + a news special in Canada! We've raised £8000 from txt/donations that go direct to 4 chosen charities, split 25%. We've applied for tax exemption too. The purpose of WBRis simply to raise money for the Charities, at no point have I heard the goal to be a Christmas number 1. Therefore sales between it's release and Christmas will indeed count! - Don't get me started on the cynical release dates for singles tied into TV programming schedules and therefore getting masssive hype & promotion from organisations with a vested interest, however worthy the cause.

@georgaalty There have been people who, carried away by the excitement ot the project, have been posting "let's get this to number 1 for Christmas". I have been only trying to manage their expectations. But of course you are right, as far as the real aim of the song is concerned (helping worthwhile charity) every sale does count. (I hope the project is set up in the best way to avoid any tax implications - be a shame if the tax man took any of the money)

With over 1,000 people involved in this production, such amazing support from every single person. To Iisyinyang I think every post has praised the charitable endeavours. Those who question the artistic merits are entitled to do so...that's show business. As for my comment, I'm sorry if you think it is negative, but it's (probably) fact. Military Wives have played the game beautifully.... it's nicely hyped & got some great media national support, when it come out on 19/12 there will be a rush and it should knock the spots off X Factor. Any copies of this sold between now &19th will not count.

@johnfmarshall - the negative comments I referred to were the negative comments which have thankfully been removed (why give these bitter individuals a platform?!) and also the people who have taken the time to dislike a project which so many people have worked tirelessly on for no gain except to raise money for charities. Wootton Bassett Rocks is not likely to be the Christmas number 1, it's been released too soon, wont get enough hype etc (what with Chris Evans backing the Military Wives). Enjoy every single penny that you send to the charities, but if you want to keep X Factor from the Christmas top spot, this isn't the way to do it.

@laughingboy2012 The reson for makeing this music video was to raise as much money for the familys and injured soldiers. It has already made a large amount of money just through donations. The insperation for this video did come from Grand Rapids but RWB video is to raise money for a good course. Why is that so wrong? Im not sure were you get your facts from as the modority of people in this video are from Wootton Bassett. People will always find a nective.
