YOU SHOULD CHECK YOUR LOCKS. Better to spend a couple of bucks and not come home to a empty house. Peace of mind

Masterlock is far from the best lock company in the US. Medeco is by far the best US lock maker and they had "bump proof" high security locks that you could bump. I somehow doubt masterlock trumped medeco in the bump-proof locks. Masterlock made a bump resistant lock but that is still quite different than bump proof. They added a security pin to their lock which tons of locks have, hardly making it more difficult

Use very little pressure. Too much and the pins will bind.

A very effective way of not applying too much pressure is the straw method. insert the straw in the middle of the key in the space where you will would've normally insert the key ring. when the straw is in place turn the straw and hitting it with the hammer befor any creases appear in the straw. this will mean the correct amount of torque on the key which means minimal damage to lock or key.
