    thanks a lot for your videos. they are easy to learn and important knowledge to get. I would like to get a deeper understanding about strategy in every aspects (non-operational and operational). Could you kindly recommend me books to read?

  • Thank you, the video it's an excelente way for understanding the metrics in strategic plan.

  • The problem i see with this is that, how do you know that the KPI you are just plucking out of thin air are of value? Surely, would it not be useful to firstly consider what the companies key/critical success factors are and then use implement measured based on KSF's and then measure whatever else you think is next in line.

    Implementing arbitrary KPI's based on something like "how many new customers" etc is not useful - it may not be a success factor for every org.

  • I am strugling with my assignment for days but in your 4-minute video makes it much easier for me :) thank you so much for the very informative video...

  • You point interesting things, but forgo important ones.

    - Alignment with Strategic Priorities (you need org support to carry out improvement initiatives)

    - Justification (why this kpi exist)

    - Objective :define what this kpi is supporting

    - Metrics: you define the kpi; the tech people are in charge to provide the data.

    - Target: value, thresholds, time frame, owner (otherwise, it is no target)

    - Improvement initiatives: you do not measure for measure

    - Never use gauges

    - New Clients is NOT a kpi
