Forcing lengthy ads upon viewers on cnet (dot) com is accepted. Its your play ground, play the game your way. Here on YouTube Google is not charging cnet or any other publisher to upload videos, its free. There are already ample opportunities to generate revenue here on YouTube, just look at the box ad on the right of the video and the in video banner+text ad at the bottom.
