You will be able to use it once you get it in Nepal. After that you get a cheat code wich allows you to wield the sword in any level.

jfbrittes you have to complete the TIME TRIAL to be able to use EXCALIBUR in any level. Can even use it when playing young laura in Paraiso in Peru, its useless but you can light stuff on fire with it ^_^

After you finish a level. You can replay it whenever you want. Go on the menu on replay level, on the level dificulty change to time trial and vòila.

Maybe, but if you pay attention to the dialog, she didn't wanted to 'kill' Lara's mother, she just wanted to go to Avalon. But she DID send about a hundred mercenaries to kill Lara along the game... :P
