Awesome job!! Thanks for actually adding the original dub. I saw the movie back in the late 80s/early 90s and thought it was amazing. I personally hated the re-dubbed version. I guess because I had watched the movie a bunch of times so when they redid it 10 years later, the voices sounded extremely awkward. Great job with the trailer!! the part from 1:28 - 1:51 gives me chills to this day... It really makes me want to re-watch the whole thing!

I think that this fan made trailer has two big issues:

1rst It gives waaaaaaaaay too much informations, it's like nowaday's trailers.

2nd Why keeping the emphasis on the action. Akiras isn't all about this. You presents that excellent movie like a goddamn action Blockbuster which it isn't, or you might have not understand what this movie is about.

@theLLAMAcanREAD in my description I point out that it is a combination between the 2 released dubs. The Lionsgate 1990 dub release and the 2001 Pioneer release. Certain lines were pronounced clearer between the 2 and it helped getting the story across depending on which version had better delivery of the lines. Not the smartest idea to use both dubs but I did this so long ago I probably would do it differently now with just one version. Thanks for watching!

Oh ho ho! That was an awesome trailer, I have to say. I especially like the graphic at the end--how the katakana morphs into English. It's difficult to sum up the plot of that movie, but this trailer does it quite effectively. I hear that there is a live action in the works... hopefully that production will be edited as effectively as yours was...

Thanks for your honesty. Originally I tried to do a music edit by using the drums while trying to update it with a modern beat of sorts. In the end it was just a mess. I went through about 5 different song edits until it came down to this one. I had abandoned the edit for 3 months because writing was not my forte and editing this movie into a short plot was a bitch I might add. Thanks for checking it out.

Minor complaint- Why did you use audio from both dubs?

It in the description but I will explain it more detail here. Some lines that are delivered in the original are more clearer while describing the plot while in the redub they the same can be said. example Nezu's delivery in the redub is more clearer and no so cheesy. Kaneda and Tet lines at the olympic stadium are more powerful in the old dub.
