Correct. Benetton at that times was like Renault in 2008. But one thing you can't deny about Schumi is...he'll make a team improves & gets better when he's in that team. Like in Benetton or Ferrari, Schumi didn't join the team while they were strong.

Well Renault in 08 was probably the 3rd best, they didnt finish there but that was mainly cause of Piguet! If Alonso would have had a good teamate they could have beat Sauber more then likely! Truth is, I was quoting others when I said Schumi made some teams better when he was there. Through my observation as an F1 fan (not Schumi's fan), many persons who worked with him during his days with Benetton & Ferrari did admit his abilities to motivate their team. This guy loved winning races & therefore he worked hard & helped his team in many ways in order to win. Only one thing you should remember, he's still a driver, not a team principal or engineers.

Hamilton certainly has lots of talent but so far has been the luckiest in having a dad with big fat pockets that got him the best car in his first season with the team that couldn't deliver the same car for Kimi. Most other guys have had to work hard with a team for years to finally get their chance and this kid just gets there and it's done. Time will tell if he's so great as you wanna think he is.

What WAS Lewis' lucky break however, was managing to get onto McLaren's young driver programme.

FIA stands for Ferrari International Assistance! It was proved again the other day when they told Mclaren they couldnt appeal a drive through penalty given to them 3 hours AFTER the checkers fell! Mclaren has NEVER been backed by the FIA, its the total oposite! Whenever Ferrari gets challenged they find someway to hurt the other team! They should just hand Ferrari the constructors title at the begining of the year and then flip a coin to see which of the 2 drivers gets the WC!
