It just so happens that certain people brought up a political idea that I didn't like (Somebody said Rise against should be the theme for wall street, I said Rise against was better than that, and stuff happened), and so I commented on it. My comment may or may not have had much to do with the music, but I was listening to it the entire time.

@TheoryOfThought That's how most protests start out. The civil rights movement was highly unorganized until several figureheads rose to the occasion (namely MLK), and the Tea Party was the same way. Go back and look at the roots of the Tea Party; they were an unorganized group of imbeciles that people looked down on and laughed at. Now, the Tea Party is seen as a far right movement that many powerful individuals are a part of (Bachmann). Some say Occupy is the far left/opposite of the Tea Party.

@TheoryOfThought The member's of the movement are diverse and the smaller objectives are legion considering their asking for systematic change. Which I will agree is unlikely without a large social shift in society. Smaller step's would probably be the reinstatement of the glass-steagall act, the reversal of the citizen's united ruling, the elimination of the privatized federal reserve and anti-corruption laws. It's a huge checklist, probably why the group default's to a singular message.

@kytanosable So you're saying their lack of direction is explainable, but all the same, it makes it a bit hard to take this group seriously, or for any, let alone all of their objectives to be completed. If I was singlehandedly in charge of their program, I'd focus on one problem at a time. Once that is fixed, or proven to be unfixable for whatever reason, I'd move on to another problem. I'd get stuff done. As it is now, they achieve nothing but unrest and unstability, which is why I'm against.
