The third generation Glock 18 only includes the version with compensator (with holes in the top)?. Because i saw a glock 18 non-c in a gun store of my country and the employee told me that is the third generation.
were can I go in utah to fire a glock 18? ive shot alot of full autos and am great with a pistol but have never had the opportunity to fire a glock 18
@k1ssass Maybe I'll have to make NH my new home. Canadian gun laws are ridiculous. We can only fantasize about that kind of freedom..... but some day......
Automatic pistols are forbbiden for civilians in Argentina. I see they are legal in the U.S. So what pourpose do they have for civilians? just as a defense instrument or are there tournaments with automatic guns? Are they legal for hunting? Something alse?
@svenneri They are not "illegal" per say, but you have to get special licenses to own them. They are NFA weapons so you need to have an NFA license which involves a lot of paperwork a $500 a year "tax" and the ATF comes to your house for an interview. Then you assuming you get all of that done you can purchase a full auto weapon legally (about $12,000 plus a $300 "tax" on top of the other taxes). In short, they arent illegal, just very hard to get legally.
@preluderacer88 I see, well anyway, here is hard to get semi-automatic pistols legally. To own any fire weapon you have to become a Legitimate User Of Fire Guns (this takes physical and psychological exams, proof that you have a job, proof that you know how to operate a gun, proof that you have no criminal records and all of this forms cost money. You need to renew this condition every five years doing all of this again. Now you can buy a gun but you have to register it (more money on forms)..
@svenneri In America we have the right to bear arms. It's in our constitution. Remember a govnmt that fears their citizens being armed is usually a dictatorship
@svenneri They are not used for defense or hunting, most those that own them are collector would just like to collect and fire all kinds of firearms... A gun its self does not harm. its the person using it that does
@dan944 it's legal in pretty much every state, minus CA and IL and MA , perhaps even there. All you need is NFA papers , 300$, six months wait time, and the exorbitant purchase price of the firearm.
Love the first firing where the muzzle is silent and the brass is still streaming onto the floor! Awesome!
Love the earlier "BronzeProductions" comment about the woeman shooting her child. What would that woeman be doing with a fully auto weapon in the first place?
I noticed several times through out the video Spencer Rands passes his left hand in front of the mussel of his loaded weapon. Is this safe? I don't think so even with your figure off the trigger it's still not a safe practice. I hope they don't train people in this manor or fashion. Under NO circumstance should any part of your body or anyone elses be in front of the business end of a weapon unless pointing at a threat.
@jcwjk I agree that no part of you body should ever cross the muzzle. I am very vigilant about not ever doing that, but when I watched the video it apears like I did. If you put it in HD and slow it down just to check you can see I never cross the muzzle. I believe its due to the poor lighting that the depth perception in this video is odd. And no I don't train people to muzzle themselves LOL. Check it again you will see. Thanks for keeping me honest though.
@TrainASDI The reason we have 4 basic rules of gun safety is because we are human and if you break one, you will still be safe. You never put your finger on the trigger until you were ready to fire and you never pointed the gun at anything you were not willing to destroy. So if you hand got in front for a second, the other safety rules keep you safe. No biggie brother.
@jcwjk I apologize it did look like your hand passed in front of the gun especially @ 5:17- 5:25 Sorry folks I did watch video several times even in slow motion but didn't check in HD. Also forgive me for the type error mussel instead of muzzle. I usually proof read before I post or enter what was typed. I will fully break down the videos and address the video maker before I post a presumed error to substantiate it in the future.
@jcwjk People are only human we all make mistakes and I think he was very thoughtful of where his hands were and where the "business end" of the gun was, especially while doing the video and being distracted. Shows that he has been shooting for awhile 0:15 very deliberate. Thanks for the video! Keep up the good work...
@RealityCheck05 Not exactly. You've never fired a firearm in full automatic mode otherwise you'd know that the recoil from the cartridges igniting would push the muzzle around casuing the bullets to go "oft astray" all over the target. It isn't easy to keep full auto firearms on target w/o a lot of practice.
@doughesson *rolls eyes* You sure know alot about me despite us never meeting. If you read my post with any kind of critical thought rather than critical ill will, you'd have realized I was making a point that an automatic mechanism can cycle the firing process more quickly than a human index finger and that such a feature is sometimes useful in a weapon system as evidenced by its ubiquitous presence in militaries around the world.
@bunkerking73 Oh, well then. I guess that is a great excuse to give the little 5 year old's mother after losing control on round 4 and splattering curious little suzy's mind all over the pavement. " Ma'am this is accuracy by volume. Ma'am if you would have kept your child within reach this wouldn't have happen. I just wanted to make sure he was dead. Thats all, I am sorry. Better luck with your next one."
Actually the Glock 18 should have been manufactured with a 3 shot burst mode as well as full auto, or in PLACE of full auto. I was trained that full auto was / is mainly for suppressive fire, and burst (be it 2 or 3 shot) was for putting the rounds where they count. That's why the Beretta 93R was so far ahead of it's time back in the '70s/'80s. It also had a fold down front handgrip for ACCURATE burst fire.
@sirmasterpimp the Glock 18 was released for sale just before the firearms law of 1986 was enacted thus very few are tranferable to the public and they are very expensive the only way you can get a new one is to be come a firearms dealer with a license to sell class 3 firearms plus you have to have a clean criminal background (no Felonies) pay all your taxes etc
@patriot91101rip That law expired in 96 I believe and wasn't extended under the Clinton administration. I know certain states have laws against full auto weapons, such as where I am, NJ. Though the federal law banning them is expired. If I'm incorrect, please comment and correct me if I'm wrong
@midlantic1 I'm pretty sure the law your thinking of that expired was for "assault rifles" and extended magazines. The 1986 ban is still in place so the only way to buy a fully automatic weapon is for it to have been produced before 1986.
@midlantic1 as far as the addtion on full auto firearms being added to the registry of NFA firearms no, 1986 was the last year it any full auto or burst fire (M16A2 etc) could be added because of a voice vote of the Huges amendment by Rep. Hughes (D-NJ) and Chuck Be Slick Rangel (D-NY) a recorded vote was requested but Chucky overruled as he was the overseeing the vote in the House before it went to the Senate.
@midlantic1 I dont believe Full Autos were banned fedrally but I could be wrong, I feel bad for yall in NJ the 1% cause crime so the 99% cant enjoy the finer things in life at least Pennsylvania is close :)
@patriot91101rip Please lookup the National Firearm Act and the Firearm Owners Protection Act.
The NFA puts a Tax on Machine Guns, Grenade Launchers, Short Barreled Rifles, Short Barreled Shotguns, Any Other Weapons. The NFA also defines what each are, Grenade Launchers like the M1 Garand Grenade attachment, and length of barrels for SBRs and SBSs.

The FOPA banned the "manufacture" of fully automatic weapons (Machine Guns) "for the civilian" market and limits civilian ownership to machine guns manufactured, and registered with the BATFE, prior to May 1986. My local shop resently sold an Ingram M10, fully automatic, .45ACP, submachine gun, with a suppressor and three 30rnd mags.
The purchaser was a private citizen of the state of OrEgon and the sale required 2, Form 4, tax stamps. Some states have their own restrictions.
@lostburro I was fitting what I could in the reply, but yes. The requirement for the two Form 4s was one for the M10 and one for the Suppressor.
As far as I know, my state is pretty okay with it's citizens owning Full Automatic Firing weapons so long as it's done 'by the numbers'. Then again, my state has a city law in Miami where its illegal to molest a Garbage Can...
Well, you know what would happen if the molestation of garbage cans was legal!
Oh, I see. I was basing my reply on your comment; "The FOPA Banned the sale of "Machine Guns" ie "anything that fires more than one round with one trigger pull"."
Which I interpreted as the FOPA banned the sale of machine guns.
@patriot91101rip Man, NJ is the worst. Just to get a firearm ID card, which allows you to simply buy long guns is a process bigger than PA's process for a carry permit. Your right, they put us law abiding people through the ringer, yet the gang bangers continue to do their thing. Makes no sense that being law abiding means, in some cases, allowing yourself to become a victim. Look at DC, handguns are illegal, yet they have the highest handgun murder rate in the country. Our politicians are idiots
@ash2092013 EXPENSIVE, yes or someone with a license to own a fully auto weapon....BUT these guns haven't been made for some time and are quite hard to get a hold of! when i was younger i had the privilege to shoot one and it was AMAZING!!! oh and i think there is a kit to convert a 17(c) to fully auto though.
@silentknight2112 While there may be conversion kits to make firearms fully auto, it can be very unsafe and it is definatly a federal felony to do so. Don't mess with it, its a bad idea...
