@moonflow23 with werner? consider yourself fortune, they will at some point bring it up and tell you it needs to come down otherwise it may mean your job. I got the speech in the winter when my idle % was routinely over 50% which according to them means I'm never shutting the truck off, which I actually was turning it off whenever possible. They told me I needed to spend breaks inside the truck stops or the customer to stay warm.

I drive for Werner and a few months ago I was supposed to to a swap with a driver at the Petro in Atlanta, Ga the next morning. I had enough time to get there that night and shut down for my 10 hr break. Not long after arriving there, I got a message over the Qualcomm that the swap was canncelled as the other driver was arrested and jailed in Nashville. It never said what they were arrested for, but I know the TA and Pilot there are known for the "night walkers".

Its sad, but even this is enough to get said driver fired. As I garuntee she wasnt added to the truck as a passenger.

But knowing the turn over rate of werner drivers. theres probably been 8 other drivers in that truck since, and its probably been sold by now.

Its number starts with 48000 man we're in the 54000+ numbers now. that truck is long since out of the fleet, and an owner operator truck now.

The worst one I ever been at was the Pilot in Memphis. I used to take one of my wife's old bras and leave it on the dash, by the drivers side window. That's the signal that someone has already "got" this driver. It was the only was to get any sleep without them pounding on the side of the sleeper all night. But it worked.
