  • No Mt. Pinatubo?

    from the Philippines?

  • @darkkanishi its not big enuf dude

  • galunggung... i life in galunggung, Tasikmalaya, Jawabarat, Indonesia

  • The list doesn't include the supervolcanos like the ones in Toba. But then again they erupt every tens or hundreds of thousands of years.

  • Are hot springs the mega volcano's?

  • @HateFenians Underneath them maybe.

  • Is it true that you can heat uncle bens packet of rice in them Yellow Stone hot springs and cook your meat too if you attach it to something?

  • I thought yellowstone was... 95% of earths population...gone.

  • @ghost255932 Again, a 'theory' that suggested that an explosion was due every 600,000 years or so. 3 eruptions have supposedly occurred since 2.1 million years ago. The catastrophe caused would be significant and most of Northern America couldn't be inhabited due to pyroclastic flows containing toxic fumes and materials. Yellowstone Caldera could be the end of America

  • krakatau can it even be called an eruption, they tolled me the mountain just exploded :O (obviously i don't know shit about all this so just trolling)

  • @mathiasdebleeckere yup, you're in the right direction, but instead, the rise of magma caused this explosion and consequently split the island in two (according to my geography teacher)

  • what about yellowstone

  • actual eruption of the largest in the world is Mount Toba in Sumatra Indonesia. occurred about 25 thousand years ago. ash from the eruption to cover the African continent and throughout southeast Asia, and the earth changes are very significant cold weather for 2 months, and a trillionth of four parts of the earth covered with black clouds, and now after the Toba eruption that occurred in the past, formed Lake Toba, and former eruptions can be seen on the sides of the lake.

  • am i watching star wars or listening to it

  • The most dangerous volcano is my dick...

  • @Mazwanable

    Prove it!

Actually, on second thought, please don't...

  • why dont you include the mount pinatubo here in the philippines ?

  • u forgot katla... it killed one third of the icelandic nation

  • I see the word "deadliest" is only used in this video to define human mortality rates. There have been far larger and more devasating eruptions recorded than these. But, because they weren't near human population or it was "pre-history", the 'human' death rate was obviously far lower or nil.

  • That is NOT Krakatoa! Besides the drawings, IT'S BULLSHIT! That's Anak Krakatau! THE CHILD OF KRAKATOA! Jeez, Wikipedia is more accurate than this video!

  • wtf? everyone on youtube is suddenly a top volcanoligiost??

  • Pele owns Mount Pelee....Lol

  • Zrock210 the devastation caused by the Toba event is just a theory "Toba catastrophe theory" there is no evidence to support this theory it's not a proven scientific fact which means it could not have been the deadliest volcanic eruption. this theory is still open for debate. the argument is not whether this event actually occurred or not but was it really that devastating. Where did i get this information? google it

    Global warming = theory

    Evolution = theory.......................

  • @mobeenkhan25

You're obviously not a scientist, and you clearly don't understand the meaning of the word "theory" as it applies to science. You're also talking out of your arse - no evidence to support Toba? Are you kidding? I'd like to you to try and argue that one with a geologist or vulcanologist.

  • @mobeenkhan25 HAHA Maybe you should check the definition before making an ignorant post like this. Calling something a theory does not make it not proven or factual. Look up theory in Wikipedia.

  • @mobeenkhan25

Neither global warming or evolution are just theories. They both happened and are happening. Theories are proposed regarding the mechanisms. But the fact that these two processes continue is undeniable by rational and educate people. If there was no Global Warming Venus would not be hot as hell and Earth would be a giant snowball. Atmospheric CO2 warms the Earth.

As for evolution, where do you think the incredible diversity of dogs and horses came from? Humans made them.

  • @mobeenkhan25 cell theory = theory

    germ theory = theory

    plate tectonics = theory

    electromagnetic theory = theory

    atomic theory = atomic theory

  • @mobeenkhan25 However, it has been accepted that the eruption of Toba led to a volcanic winter with a worldwide decline in temperatures between 3 to 5 °C (5 to 9 °F), and up to 15 °C (27.0 °F) in higher latitudes. - Source: wikipedia

  • You missed out the Santorini eruption, very likely the largest in recorded history

  • what song is this?

  • wow i thought japan had only one volcano

  • @Riveramaya123 putawe rivermaya! \m/

  • @bailsterbailer WTF are u saying

  • @Riveramaya123 ung pangalan mu bobo haha

  • Lots of mention of Yellowstone. It's probably not here because the last time properly erupted was tens of thousands of years ago. It could blow up, yeah, but it hasn't.

  • dats not sumtin dat can actually happen...

  • Yeah my country got most of the mount natural disaster ... toba cracatoa , galunggung , bromo ,merapi ,semeru ... indonesia oh indonesia ...

  • I bet that most of the Yanks who clicked on this vid were frustrated...cause they expected to see some AWESOME eruptions ...

  • Where is Etna in this...?!

  • I live in front of Vesuvius D:

  • @GOWBuuzer poor you! hopefully you are in heaven before the next eruption

  • where is Yellowstone on this list?

  • @Crystasorrow I'm guessing that the maker of the vid is basing it off of number of people killed. And the last time Yellowstone went was, like, 640 000 years ago, so nobody was around to get killed.

But now that I think about it, it did indirectly cause the human population to be reduced to 2 million or something... I might be completely wrong. I'll need to look that up again.

  • @Crystasorrow Whoops. I just looked it up. It was not Yellowstone. It was the Toba eruption that reduced the human population. It was about 70 000 years ago and it reduced human population to as little as 30 000 people.

  • Actually, the deadliest volcanic eruption in earth's history was the eruption of the Toba caldera (which is now known as lake Toba) in Indonesia 74,000 years ago. The eruption was so devastating that scientists believe it caused a genetic bottleneck in human evolution. Supposedly only 10,000 individuals out of the entire earth's population survived as a result of this eruption.

  • @Zrock210 Just a theory.

  • @Zrock210 No, thats an assumption. There is no proof of that.

  • @Baronstone your right about there being no absolute proof of that. However, there is a lot of data regarding an eruption of said magnitude having possibly occurred 74,000 years ago.

  • @Zrock210 and how do scientists know this?? it all sounds like a load of crap

  • @Zrock210 actually these are the Top Ten deadliest in AD and what your saying is in BC, with in BC there where a lot more deadly eruptions witch we might not even know about them, even after the appeareance of the humans, and the survivors of the Toba eruption where more like 2000 individuals as the DNA studies might say, its al so not known how many were killed in the Toba eruption and in the aftermath is not known

  • @Zrock210 idk.. what u just said sound rediculous

  • @Zrock210 Well I guess if we are being specific here lol In EARTH'S history the largest eruption we know about was the La Garita Caldera eruption about 27 million years ago. In human history it was Toba. x

  • @1to10in2seconds Actually, the largest eruption in earth's history (if we’re talking about magma volume) would be the 1,000,000 year long ‘Siberian Traps’ flood basalt eruption that occurred 250 million years ago. During the eruption 1 to 4 million cubic kilometers of magma was ejected. They say the eruption brought about the worst extinction in earth's history.

However, if we’re talking about single vent eruptions, then yeah, the La Garita eruption was the biggest. :)

  • @Zrock210 This is almost true lol but the Ontong Java–Manihiki–Hikurangi Plateau eruption 120 odd million years ago produced something on the order of 60 - 80 million cubic kilometres of material. This coincides with the Anoxic Event, depleting the oceans completely of oxygen. :) I love these intelligent debates on youtube lol, saves insulting/abusing everyone I suppose! x

  • @Zrock210 If Toba did erupt, it was in prehistory, many thousands of years ago. Tambora is the deadliest RECORDED volcanic eruption.

  • ok guys my dick is the biggest volcano and the shit about 2012 and the yellowstone volcano are major bs,that volcano is not gonna explode and probably never will in our lifetime so no worries

  • @dem0slyr i agree with you about 2012 and that crap but really? how is your **** the biggest volcano ever? lol

  • @Cheesetoon it erupts wen disturbed, just like any other volcano

  • @dem0slyr acc a build up of pressure in the magma chamber many miles below , the pressure pushes themagma or ashes up and causes pyrochlastic flows and volcanic flows or ash eruptions which go out o the atmosphere

  • @dem0slyr oh thats nice

  • 2nd Thira in Santorini......1st Yellowstone....These 2 are the supervolcanos on earth...but thira is sleeping...Yellowstone is active...

  • @kostaskissful Have a read of this. Although unlikely in the near future, an eruption from Lake Taupo would be catastrophic. I live in NZ and have been to Taupo many times, the lake is absolutely massive. It last erupted about 1700 years ago and scientists reckon it erupts every 900 years on average. At present I live right below Mt Ruapehu, about an hours drive south of Taupo, which erupted in 1995 and is still active. Fun times!!!

  • Actually the largest erpution in earths history was Sibreia 251 to 250 millon years ago

  • If this is done correctly, the worst through casualties was Laki, Iceland due to the toxic sulphuric acid that killed half of icelands lifestock and overall said to have killed up to 6 million people, including many europeans.

    Just a thought.......

  • When will the Yellowstone Supervolcano erupt? 2012???

  • @Popajaja more like 2012000

  • @63gstone, I hope you’re right...

  • Toba should be #1

  • You left out the supervolcanoes-the Earth's deadliest volcanoes. Lake Toba-Yellowstone, are examples. Pretend Mt. Saint Helens spews out volcanic ash equal to a 1 sq. cm cube. Krakatoa (Mt. Krakatau) spewed 2 times that. And Lake Toba spewed 100 times Krakatoa. Believe it or not, it is true! Toba was huge enough to lower the temp. of the world's oceans by 2 degrees fahrenheit! And the ash thrown out blanketed over 1/4 of the world! And Yellowstone can throw out enough ash to almost covr the U.S!

  • @MegaDemonMonkey Yeah, it's really scary when you think about it.

  • I AM NOT PROUD BUT IN THE LAST 100YEARS NO OTHER VOLCANO EXPLODED LIKE PINATUBO! THE ASS ROTATE THE EARTH AND FILTER SUNLIGHT THAT LOWERED THE EARTHS TEMPERATURE FOR THE NEXT 5YEARS! AND THAT IS A FACT!!!

  • @09279035505 lol ass

  • @09279035505 i mean ash haahhahahaha

  • @09279035505 actually i think its the second biggest eruption since 1900

  • R u Indonesian ??

there r so many Indonesia mountains ., yeah.,.

I'm from Indonesia, and Mount Merapi is in eruption right now !!!

  • you left out Mt.Yellowstone............scientest say it can destroy one fourth of the world not conting a pyroclastic flow, lava flow, or the worst pyroclastic eruption, which are 900miles per hour , over 4000 degrees celcius, total bad ass!

  • Indonesia 3 times? actually on Galunggung's explosion there's no people die. (I'm from Indonesia)

  • I only remembered .. the deadliest volcanoes in history and until now is ... menstruation ...

  • PINATUBO stupid!....

  • santorini is missing

  • U missed pinatubo i can imagine how it is show the number of casualties and destruction caused by stupid

  • now its probably the yellow stone volcanoe on earth.... if it blows up, it would destroy all north america, leaving an ash cloud for several months world wide killing everything form food to air to ozone layer

  • you ass wheres mount pinatubo! from the philippines@!

  • music theme title ?

  • wrong! wa about yellow stone national park the hole park is the crator of the valcano and all together i think it streches 40km in length .

  • Where is Mt pinatubo you retard

  • @rj319 - not in the top 10, learn to count.

  • what track did you use? And for the death rates are you counting humans only, or also including animals? Nice vid :)

  • every single one is still active in the video

  • @MrRichardmjenkins i know but the volcano in Santorini is still active

  • Santorini volcano had an entire island dissolve into five very small islands and destroyed the Minoan civilization on Crete

  • why do it seems like people already forgotten the disastrous mt. pinatubo?

  • What about the super volcanoes?

  • dnt forget PINATUBO

  • @criselnoel i think pinatubo doesn't belong since .. few casualities recorded

  • Comment removed

  • @Electrodeposit

not only PPL but animals too.

  • The most destructive volcanic eruption was from La Garita caldera. it expanded 5.000 cubic km

  • Yellowstone would probably end history

  • @cornishviking yeah i thought yellowstone was the biggest and the worst if it would go off ( nearly 3.5k sq miles ),,, then after the Eyjafjallajökull volcano erupted i started researching into Icelands history and all.. well let me put it this way.. Iceland is nearly 40k sq miles, and its made up of volcanoes... the only reason they all are somewhat quiet its coz theyr under pressure of ice.. but coz of global warming the ice thats holding them all is slowly but surely melting..

  • lake toba is the most destructive one

  • @ianbeni04 there is no account of what happened with lake toba as with any super volcano, only scientific research

  • Actually about a million people in China, and another mill in India (not sure of worldwide total) died because of weather changes. The northern hemisphere froze over and they had the famous "Year without a summer" in 1783. The eruptions lasted about 8 months though so keep watching.

  • cool vid dude. that tambora looks a beast. i heard it blocked out the sun and crops couldnt grow in other parts in the world

  • Resent studies has shown that the Laki eruption 1783-84 killed several thousands outside Iceland. In main Europe lots of people died of sulphur poisoning and others died of starvation due to failed farvests.

  • nice music. im playing this in band, but its a modefided version

  • I heard volcanoe of pompai was about the strength of 26 atom bombs

  • Vesuvius, Krakatoa and Mt. St. Helens were the only volcanoes I could think of, off the top of my head. Not sure of the name of the one (or more than one?) in Hawaii. Cool video.

  • @BazookaIke Mauna Kea? (this one is not active) Mauna Loa (not active either) or Kilaueua (or however you spell it)

  • Nice video dude!
