  • merci .... je suis heureux de retrouver cet album !

  • its been said that when you die and go to heaven you get the choice of whatever artist you want to see.well even before his passing I knew who I was picking.cany wait to get there and see him for the 14th time

  • I discovered Zappa with this album and the Bongo Fury album when I was in jr. high. I turned on several other eventual life long Zappa fans. Saw him in concert many times. Met him twice. He always took time to talk to his fans. His music is always tight and masterful. Its great to have his music live on with Zappa on Zappa, Ike Willis' bands and others. Gone way too soon, but his music will live on forever.

  • ive had this on 33rpm since it first came out zffz

  • This and "Hot Rats" are my favorite Zappa albums

  • top composer of 20th century...

    that's it!

  • where can i buy this CD?

  • @NbrLine The internet.

  • @colwellalec ...or better yet, your local record store....if your city still has a privately owned one.

  • psicodelic guitarron

  • THIS IS A DESERT ISLAND ALBUM FOR SURE

  • i gotta get this now

  • One of the best Frankie's albums with great Rock songs

  • What a bunch of "Phenomenal Musicians" ! !

  • frank zappa and The Mothers of invention:very, verry Good.!

  • no muso before or since did an intro quite as inspiring as frank cheers frank

  • I finally "get it" !! This is pretty legit.

  • 2 Dislikes? That's four too many.

  • @buzzcat3 ...."3.25"

  • As a young man, I was privileged to listen to this recording in quadraphonic sound through a state of the art (for that time) sound system in an auditorium of my chosen institution of HIGHer learning—perhaps the finest aural experience of my life—almost as good as seeing Zappa perform the same material live, but not quite.

  • zappa was just smarter than most people......he was the first to combine all types of music.......rap rock jazz classical funk AMAZING with a sense of HUMOR

  • zappa was just smarter than most people......he was the first to combine all types of music.......rap rock jazz classical funk AMAZING

  • What are the chords on the piano intro?

  • @WannaGee I got once from Google .Check' em out

  • @lghalihaf I can only find the guitar tabs. It's just the first three chords i want to know :)

  • @WannaGee First three are Bb 12-13 (Bb, Ab, D, F-G)( F-G meaning play F then G on top of the Bb 7) then A 13 with a b9 (A, G, C#, F Bb) then D minor 7 (D, A, C, F, A) It's a rad intro.

  • NO ONE Is Worthy!!!!!....just sayin....If Anyone Ever Challenges Me On How Great A Guitarist FZ Was This Is The Track I Play For Them...After That All Bets R Off!

  • I love Frank's voice - specially when he sings really low. This song is a really ideal example of Frank's eccentricity at it's best. Great guitar riffs, zany lyrics,

and my favorite part is the: Hoy! Hoy! Hoy!

  • There is simply no one that compares to FZ. From his guitar to his vocals to his arrangements there simply is no other like FRANK!!!

  • Zappa and the Mothers are absolutely fucking incredible

  • Frank had a way of poking fun of the things he hated, and giving listeners a pay-off for listening closely. This song about inhibitions ("some wear po-jamas, if only they knew it"), is a perfect example. Po-jama People is quintessential Frank.

  • this song has always been my new media tester going back to cassette players, today it was a new laptop and it sounds just as good as it did 35 years ago. Frank was and always will be way ahead of his time. Many have tried but even with modern electronics, can't even come close to the master.

  • perfection

  • Putting any FZ song on makes my day a hell of a lot better!

  • 2dislikes must be po-jamapeople

  • Po-jama people are goobers are they?

  • OH he's killing me, Zappa was the man, I had dthe pleasure to seem him and the MOI perform this album back in the day with the same lineup. It was a special night that I will never forget.

  • Is their anything more inspiring, invigorating, inebriating than a Zappa guitar solo? Personally, I need to hear one every day. It clear's away the bullshit quite nicely.

  • @MWL4466 so true ....is you

  • I let my friend listen to this ones and he laughed his ass off..aha i said, this is ZAPPAAAA..when the solo started he became calm and in a fuckin' mood then i said nothing, cause we were both into it..

  • "万物同サイズの法則"ポジャマ・ピープル・・炸裂ザッパの引き裂き弦・・クリアなジョージ・デュークのKEY~ロックがジャズしてロックしてるヨ! #jazzm

  • commence face melt @2:23

  • I had a wonderful friend back in the 70's who introduced me to Pojama people. The concept is so true and it continues today. I sometimes delayed by people in the supermarket and my response is: "Amble, amble, stop, amble, stop, amble stop." Pojama People actually says the same better - "get out of your own way!"

  • omg , help me, I forgot how sick of a guitar player he was, shame on me. wow he rips.

  • I can't argue with the expertise of a Steve Vai, or the traditional poor ranking of FB, about his virtuosity, but the arrangement-texture of the 'great' guitarists made it easy for them. FB aimed at the whole composition, which didn't always sit well with himself as a flashy artist, even in solo sections.

But this song puts him in a better light, it lends itself to the sort of drive and burn rubber style that wins points. A few dozen more songs like this, and he might have hit the top 10.

    .

  • @Tubeistdan

    FB??

FZ had DOZENS of great songs like this

Steve Vai didnt join Frank until 5 years after this album was released

The top 10?? do you mean commercial music top 10??

FZ woulda laffed in your face

    Funny,you almost seemed intelligent

  • Zappa´s the one... since I can think I love his music!

  • my friends sometimes call me pajama nate because i am always wearing my pajamas around the house... i seriously have about 15 pairs of pajama pants

  • @000MidnightSun he is talking about priests etc. that wear robes etc. (religion)

  • F Z is so good he defies description i have 17 albums 12 inch maxi single a 12 inch picture disc five dvds and still i want more and it gets better every time i listen to them

  • frank zappa could fucking jam.

  • man, i'm not saying frank was the best singer, but his bass vocals in the beginning are stunning. great song btw.

  • no shit! i freestyle skid to this, too! back in 2002.

  • Hoy Hoy Hoy...

  • fuck im sleepy (in a good way)

  • they are determined to take us all down....

  • My first Zappa record. The release was his latest & I was in high school.

After hearing OSFA I Immediately set about buying his entire back catalog.

  • @vonzeke

Aye, my first Zappa puchase too.

When I first bought it at 15 I couldn' t stand it.

Now I know it Inside out; every word and every note.

  • brutal, zappa rules

  • 1 person is a pajama person.

  • I got to interview Frank Zappa for our university paper just after this album came out, and when I sat on the couch and sank into it a bit because it was kind of soft, and I squirmed a bit to get comfortable, Frank looked at me and the first words he said to me were "Cozy?"....and I knew he thought I was a Po-Jama Person!

  • @1967PONTIACGTO: I had a neighbor growing up who told me saw the Mothers at the Fillmore back in the 60's. He said he was camped out on a sofa, taking everything in, when Zappa plops down right next to him. Zappa leans over, sniffs him, then says, "You don't stink, I think I'll sit here.".

  • @1967PONTIACGTO thats not a good thing?

  • Mr. Guitar Hero Frank Zappa! Love this song!

  • TALK ABOUT JAMMING IN THE STUDIO THIS IS SOME SERIOUS ROCK!!!

  • I think Im having an eargasm.

  • is das geil! Thank u for upload!

  • some peoples hot, some peoples cold......

  • oh yes...!

  • how do I get that guitar tone? fuzz with some static wah wah?

  • @vlacerda93 Super midrange honk coming outta that SG! He used a wah pedal as a tone control often & used a Pignose amp for a lot of this album.

  • @vlacerda93 Basically, yeah. A hot bridge pickup, distortion and a wah at about half-mast and left there. Try to get it just under the point where feedback comes out, just under the treble edge. Mick Ronson did a ton of guitar work that way too. Check out his playing on Lou Reed's Transformer album.

  • Huh?

  • bassist 448, you have a cool teacher, respect him/her may your blessings be many!

  • @SuperBlurryEyes No doubt! My physics prof only played "Best of the Cavemen" but then fire had yet to be discovered when I was in school.

  • In the 25 century musicians will be studying "rhythmelodics" which FZ invented. Every FZ song is other "bands" careers!" "THE Maestro" dared to cut every bond of conventionalism. Ever hear of Nikola Tesla?

  • i was so privillaged to see a n FZ concert in 1988 at Wembley Arena. I was 18 and had no idea what was going on. speeding off my amd thinking "this is just mad!". The concert had "i am the walrus" & "stairway to heaven"!

  • Got the cassette tape of this in 3rd grade....been a fan since

  • some wear pajamas if only they knew it...

  • oh my god. the guitar solo in this song blew the shit out of my mind. I don't understand how any human can play like that, I couldnt even follow half of what was he was doing there. Zappa is easily one of the most underrated guitarists ever, what a genius

  • hoy, hoy hoy....cant afford no shoes..get em out of my way.....save a dollar today .... pajama people are boring me to peices...get out of my way......pajama people people..maybe you got a bundle of rags i can use. man or muffin....if you dont know zappa music you must be a po jama people....

  • Would the pojama people live in the suburban trailerparks of teabagville?

  • fuckin god

  • My physics teacher always plays Frank Zappa during class and the guitar player in my band, and I, are the only ones who know who it is. Hahaha. Zappa is classic. I always sing along to this silently while we are in silent reading.

  • @bassist448 I want your physics teacher. He must be the greatest teacher around.

  • @bassist448 pretty badd ass physics teacher

  • @bassist448

Wow, you've got one helluva cool physics teacher, if he/she digs Zappa to the point where his stuff is played in class! Pay attention to what that teacher imparts - he/she is unique, and most likely will come forth with

    REAL education.

  • amazing keyboards by duke!

  • Wow, that is just an absolutely incredible guitar solo by Zappa. Just so mind blowing!

  • @elzandr And George Duke's Pianno counterpart to that solo was equally awesome.

  • @elzandr one of the best

  • If he could see the people in 2010 walking around in public wearing fuzzy p.j.s Mr Zappa would be shocked.

    He is a profit, now.

  • @GerardHaight He was a prophet. You're right, there are Po-jama people everywhere now.

  • I take it to mean that this somg is about lemmings, sheeple, and SLEEPLE. They sure do make you sleepy with the things they might say. LOL.
