  • @dothanalabama038 i want some lol. i love traffic lights

  • @dothanalabama038 so do I!!

  • sry das ist scheiße

  • I have a question, I know there is 3 types of stop lights: the regular ones that you can see, the ones with the panels (or a grate) in them, and ones with a plastic cover over them, but it's REALLY hard to see them unless you're at the right angle (I called them "boogeyman lights" when I was younger, don't ask). My question is, what's the point of those lights (or even the panel ones). It's really hard to see what's going on with them, especially in the daytime?

  • @StarFighters76

It mostly has to do with viewing angle and visibility. the grated one and the 'boogeyman lights" (which I assume are the 3m Model 131 traffic signal) only allow a particular view of view to prevent other lanes from misinterpreting that signal is for them.

    Hope that helps

  • A blinking "dont walk" is "HURRY! he lights gonna change!" lmao good stuff I wants a 4-way intersection one ;-)

  • is this a hobby? what is the point of having traffic signals in your backyard...

  • Yes it is there is a large group of people with the same hobby.

  • yes it is a hobby of makeing thing and computerizing things

  • @deantina As Jim had already mentioned, collecting signals is an actual hobby. I, too, am a traffic signal collector, and, of course, I have my own display in my home. Many collectors appreciate them in general, and signals are nice to watch when they are in full operation. Truthfully, every traffic signal and pedestrian signal that you see has a story behind it. You'd be surprised of what you could learn about them.

  • @deantina It's a hobby just like collecting street signs(bought legally)and all kinds of signs! Have you ever, in your life, collected traffic lights, street signs, etc?

  • is this automatic? i'm doing an IT homework on programming traffic lights with visual basic.

  • Aren't you worried someone might come by and steal part of your setup? Just worried, but for now, nice setup. B)

  • whats that noise?

  • That was the year of the great Cicadas plague, thankfully they only come out every 17 years. Once they died I had about 3 garbages bags full of dead bugs.

  • cool signals....i've heard that sound before but never knew excactly what kind of insect was causing it.

  • are any of your lights for sale

  • no, none are for sale at this time.

    Sorry
