@lingketon but they are done nearly perfectly otherwise... so it pays off anyway.
it's like the difference between having lower start values done perfectly or higher start values done decently - it may make for less perfect gymnastics, but it gets the job done.
@serenenz Much better height, distance, and form. Rosu had a pretty severe knee bend on her second vault, and not nearly as much height or distance as Sacramone.
she has really improved on her rudi vault. i think that alicia is used to piking down on that rudi because she used to do a 1.5 piked rudi, but now she has perfected the laidout
Sacramones performance was terrible during the olympics and was the reason why Team USA lost. With that kind of performance and still made it to the national team, I wonder how many coaches did she have to sleep with in order to get the spot. Her ass is so fat, I think her ass is at least 20 pounds extra compared to her teammates. That was why she brought down Team USA. Stupid bitch should go to Jenny Craig. Alicia will go down as the worst, and most disgraceful gymnast in Olympic history.
A-Sac choked big time at the olympics. She is not a clutch player. She is a disgrace. She blamed the judges, the delay, underage chinese gymnasts, the chinese coaches making weird noises during her routines, the pressure of the media. She blamed everything under the sun for her epic failures. She is selfish. She committed to UCLA, then went to Brown University, causing UCLA to miss out on some of the top recruits. Then she betrayed Brown, turned pro , got the scholarship for free.
hey guys im a little confused. are there "worlds" the same year of the olympic games? or do they not do worlds and come back with it the year following?
It depends. Sometimes there have been Worlds the same year as Olympics (ala 92 even though it wasnt an AA competition, only EF and the same with 96. no AA just EF)but its not common. They usually only do AA in Worlds on non Olympic years. I think now the EF Worlds have been replaced with World Cup competitions, so technically there probably wont be Worlds the same year as Olympics anymore. Thats what the World Cups are for. Please dont quote me. Im just saying what I can gather from it.
can you imagine alicia's legs wrapped around you??
that is a scary thought....

although she is considered a vault specialist, she rarely sticks her vaults...

@lingketon
Because so many people stick vault! How many vaults in the 2008 Olympic VT final were stuck? Ah, that's right!

@LadyBeaverhausen not really comparing her to others because she has so much more power than her competition....

This should NOT have won gold over Rosu.. how on earth did this win gold??

Alicia's DTY was higher, had more distance and better form than Rosu. Alicia's second vault, I think has a higher start-value as well which is a 9.9

This must've felt awesome for her. To not make the Olympic team, and then beat the Olympic medalists from that year!! How rad!!!!

Not really... I'd much rather win the Olympics then some dinky little World Cup.
