  • This is Crap, Bold Is way better

  • Hey, does this phone freeze alot? And is the trackball been doing you well? Might get this phone so just wondering. Respond ASAP. Thanks in advance! By the way, awesome video!!

  • I put a piece of 3M packing tape over mine, clear as a bell. Screen only. Cracks in device are to allow heat escape. No poop, probably cost less than two cents. Trim around the edge of the screen with an exacto to remove the excess. Don't tell any bse manufacturers though, they will have at least a thousands why you should never use your common sense and save that screen with a single piece of transparent tape.

  • 2007 < now bold 9700

  • dude i dont understand, is this the pearl 8120? cus i know theres a pearl 8110 and 8120 but not 8130

  • There is indeed a Pearl 8130 which is exclusive to Verizon Wireless.

  • @NateFreestyle it's on bell 2

  • Comment removed

  • do u need the internet plan for thissss

  • you dont need one if ur internet is enabled, but it is recomended that you get an ulimited data plan from your carrier.

  • What do you mean by "if your internet is enabled"? If you mean you can use the wifi, this model isn't wifi capable. So, yes an internet plan is required for this.

  • really because i have a black berry pearl 8130, without a data plan, because on connections my data is ENABLED, so i only pay for vioce and text. ,.. so you should no your facts befor talking because clearly your wrong

  • you do need to get an internet plan for that shitty telco Verizon. why would u get a pearl u fag

  • can u downgrade that to a 8100

  • its not software its hardware...

    So... No

  • how do you expand the text meassge? i would like to text more when i compose a message!

  • Does it hide scratches too like invisible shield? I just need enough for my sansa e260 screen, but for the whole player for almost half the price is a serious bonus...

  • which phone is better, the 8130 or the 8120

  • It depends because th1 8120 is GSM and the 8130 is CDMA

  • hey you should trade that pearl in for a weedwacker and shave yer arms

  • lol thats fuckin hilarious

  • does it cover the top of the phone?

  • It covers the back half of the top of the phone, which is the portion of the battery cover that curves into the top of the phone.

  • BlackBerry Pearl 8130 Verizon Best Skinz Ever BSE Review

  • does it cover the keyboard?

  • Hi, no it does not cover the keyboard.

  • Let me start by telling you that I am a Level 3 Cellular Repair Technician.

You Probably got the case to protect it from physical damage since you just sank 500 bucks in the thing, but the case can't cover the sides.

If the device were completely covered it would actually cause liquid damage that would destroy the processor because it gives off heat. If the heat can't escape excess amounts of 02 build up causing humidity in the chipsets and transceiver.

So don't go saran wrappin' that thing.

  • The skin has a several piece design, so individual pieces of the skin are molded to fit different components on the phone, so it isn't covering any places where heat would escape.

  • I accidentally deleted a couple comments (clicking the "Remove" link does not give you a confirm alert). In response to "Do you like the phone," yes it is pretty amazing.

  • When you bought the phone did u have to get the blackberry service.

  • Yea the BB data service is required.

  • go to best skins ever . c o m (all one word) TIP: mix one pump baby shampoo with water to create solution when applying film to phone, i have a total body skin on my curve and love it, had it on for 7months with no scrapes, no peeling, no damage at all, just take your time and let all the pieces dry and do i right the first time and youll love it.

  • what other colorsdoes the verizon blackberry pearl phones come in help!!

  • Just silver (as shown) and pink.

  • Also red (Alltel)

You can buy a kit for the phone and put your motherboard in it.

If you do be extremely careful, the internal components are tricky to remove and very fragile.

If Research in Motion would release the schematic then people wouldn't have to just go fish like that.

  • No, the 8130 does not have wifi

  • can someone respond to this question....

    does this phone have wifi???

    thanks!

  • 3 month update on the BSE. No issues at all. No scratches and this puppy hasn't shifted an iota. BUY THIS PROTECTOR!!!

  • blackberry pearl or samsung glyde??

  • dang you have hairy arms

  • ive had mine for like 8 months and i gotta tell you although it is NOT a fun phone... you can put themes on it to make ir better and the actual quality of the phones is great... ive been searching for another phone to switch but i cant fine any phone that makes me wanna let go of the blackberry so i say get it

  • I just got mine a couple weeks ago, and I love it.

  • hi wat data plan do you have for this and how much is it?

  • It is the $29.99 unlimited non-corporate plan.

  • invisi-shield is a lot better!

  • Actually, I have both, and they are pretty much identical. The BSE is better in my book only because it's half the price. They just send you the plastic screen protector in an envelope, nothing else. The solution the IS sends is just soapy water. Also, my BSE arrived within a few days, the IS took 2 weeks even paying the extra $5 for fast shipping. Both are excellent protectors though.

  • Just wanted to update the review as the skin has been on for a while now...it has stayed on tight and has done a great job of protecting, although the edges do tend to collect some dust/dirt but not very noticeable.

  • you are supposed to squeegee water out from under it gently. and only immediately after putting it on. after a few minutes the edges are stuck on too hard to squeeze out small pockets of fluid. its gas permeable and any fluid will dry and disappear in a few days. its why it'll look better after a day or two of drying/curing. use a spray bottle to help if you have to peel up an edge to reposition/try again. much more convenient than dunking.

  • Hmm your comment of gas permeable made me think this skin's feel/texture is similar to soft contact lenses.

  • Okay, I have heard of monotone but your picture should be in the dictionary next to the definition. I did get the BSE Skin for the face only. Works great. I didn't want to go the whole body skin so I get a gel cover from the verizon store. Give the device GREAT handling and non slipping effect. The BSE for the faceplate seems great. I had no issues installing. I didn't use a credit card. I used my already wet fingers to simply push the water out. It works fine. Only minor glare which is not bad.

  • Yeah I found the credit card to be pointless...I just used a cotton t-shirt to dry/squeegee at the same time.

  • nice review but holy moly you talk slow

  • wow ! whith those hairy arms i wasnt expecting that voice but wth nice phone

  • nice hairy arms

  • any problems besides the streaks?

  • wow man, alot on those scratches.I get the picture already bro.

  • i have some of those line too, and i just recieved mine today, and havent install it so it is a possibility of it when being produce. but i did want to try the scratch test, it does scratch but it repairs it self if you take your finger and rub it on your forehead to collect oil and then rub it on the scratched area, an it should remove it.

  • I bought more of these BSE's (for other devices) after I installed this one and some had the lines and some didn't. BSE has great service though as they sent me a couple replacements free of charge when I emailed them about it.

  • the best skins ever scracthes but it should heal it self. try rubbing your hand on your forehead to collect oil, then rubb it on the srea that is scratch and it should dissapear. if not, it might be manufacturing defect when producing it. cuz i have it too.

  • he talked about the gayest things.

  • Honestly who cares

  • ... do u think we care

  • We know that your left hand is holding the blackberry...but is your right hand holding your penis? Sure sounds like it!

  • ew....... why wood you say that..... thanks for ruining youtube..... ur FIRED

  • hes holding the camera duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • i stopped at 1:59 thank you for waisting that much time of my life

  • wow...this is so interesting
