@MrBigFartZa Complaining to NC Soft about not getting a activation card is not going to get you anywhere. What you need to do is go back to the store you purchased it in and tell them of the mishap. Either someone stole the card from the box or was not shipped with one. If you do need to contact NC Soft, do so in a decent manner and they will get you taken care of, you will need to be able to prove your case though as many people try to do the "I never got an activation card" to scam.

I have a question in the payment method. I'm getting this game, but need to fully understand payment. Do they charge you every month and rack up many months of game time, or is it to where you play a month and they charge you again once your month is over?

Your bill is a recurring bill unless you cancel before the month's (from the last payment day) ends or your card is declined. If you do not cancel your subscription, come the sign up day you will be charged for the next month.

The server I am on, Yustiel, has only gone down once. I really do not encounter much or any lag beyond the normal.

On some servers though with higher populations lag and queues became a huge problem which is now gone do to hardware upgrades and population control.

I would say, Cleric at this point. I like the ability to heal my self while still being tough. Chanters are more of a DPS/Heal and Templar's are to much like Gladiators. Never been a fan of mages and Assassins are had to level.

So it would go for me.

Here are the specs for the game, low res is about WoW standards and high res is straight out gorgeous.

Game play is similar to every other MMO but what makes the game REALLY stand out is the quests. They are actually fun, besides the gather this, go there ones :P.

I've played over 30 MMOs and this is by far the funnest I have played in a very long time. I highly suggest it. Just don't let the massive amount of RMT spam bother you and you're golden.

There has to be at least $1 in your account. They debit a dollar from your account to make sure there is money there and its an actual card. They then refund you back that $1.

If your downloading the client from NCSoft it will tak 7-16 hours to download depending on your connection.

If you are installing from the discs it should only take 15-30 minutes plus a 1-3 hour update.

You can still get the digital version of the Collector's Edition that gives you access to the in game items but you do not get a retail box.

There were only 10,000 retail boxes made for the EU and US and they were sold out with in a week of being able to pre-order them.

To really play an MMO is to set aside a lot of time for it. So if you are looking for a quick, pick up and play game no, you should avoid the entire genre.

If you want something you can sit down and play, for hours and hours over days, weeks, months and maybe years, than yes.

I personally love the game. Its very well made, beautiful and has a wonderful soundtrack to go with it.

You don't have to start over. Just log into your NC Soft secure account and click activate and enter your serial number. This will allow you to upgrade from a pre-order to the full version.

You will retain all of your characters and items.

Okay, so I have another question. How is the Asmodian environment compared to the elyos, and what server are most people playing. Also if i lost my CD's could i torrent the client?

You can actually download the client directly from the NC Soft Launcher or directly from NC Soft once you make your Aion account. I would recommend doing this because data can vary in a torrent and things such as textures may not load correctly.

I have played both Elyos and Asmodians. Terrain wise both environments are almost identical. The Asmodian culture is more about back stabbing and conspiracy where Elyos is more of a generic heroic group with power hungry leaders.

I'm personally Elyos.

In my opinion yes. I personally have spent over 16 hours playing the game and the average $60 dollar game is 8 hours long. So if you do the math I have done $120 worth of gaming.

If I were to continue playing for a year playing at least 24 hours total in a single month It would have cost me $2,160 if I had to pay $60 for every 8 hours of game play.

They localized the game a ton for western audiences. It is much easier to level, much of the dialog has changed and we have access to the new content update from the get go that they just got.

Its by far one of the best MMOs I have ever played and I have played at least 50 of them.

I can't recommend a class or race. You will need to try them out and see what best suits your wants and needs as a player.

Black Cloud Wings - Increase Flight Time by 40 seconds at level 30 (1 Mil Value)

Black Cloud Earring (increase stats)

Unique In Game Title (Settler of Aion - Increases Stats)

10 Exclusive Rich Purple Dye (Not available any other way)

These items can be applied to an unlimited amount of characters, but to a single character only once.

We were going to be on Lumiel and it got full in the first 15 minutes of going live. I got DCed, tried to log back in and was 890 in the queue. Decided a level 2 was not worth the effort.

That server is so full that I can't even log into it to delete the character. How bad is that?

lol ya thats pretty full. One of the servers i forget the name though had a queue of 5000 lol there were people waiting for 6 hours to get in. Glad I picked mine because theres never really any queue even though the server capacity says high.

Yeah this one is done on a monthly subscription. It costs $14.99 a month for one account.

You can use the discs for installing it on to multiple PCs.The code that comes with the account allows you to only make one account though. Also, only one person can be logged in per account. So if you wanted multiple accounts you would need multiple copies.
