  • Pleasure meeting you in Rwanda! I am posting your links on my Facebook and Fan Page <3 Great thing you are doing!

  • I was surprised how much hooping there is on YouTube when I went looking for your clips. Without knowing your name, it would have been pretty tough, except that you showed me this Mt. Kilimanjaro video. Meeting you was a bright spot on an otherwise trying transcontinental flight. All the best to you.

  • my lord! I almost made it to Gilmans Point and even then, the last thing I felt like doing was hooping! RESPECT!!! XXX

  • HOWDY:

hooping in Bhutan right now teaching some young Buddhist Monks how to do it. what a great cultural ice breaker!!! stay tuned for videos from the land of Gross National Happiness!!

  • this is great!!! my biggest reason for wanting a good travel hoop...i just gotta hoop everywhere lol

  • This is now one of my favorite hooping videos on youtube. You are awesome.

  • @defarrell84 thanks so much life is grand!!!

  • You are super sexy ! Are you aware of it?

  • Very fun, Michael! When we met today, I didn't realize YOU were the person hooping on Kilimanjaro. SO glad I looked this up. And Woo-hoo to you!

  • @LLDoty yep that was me and still able to breathe up there!! great to meet a fellow hooper in the neighborhood. My wife drove by minutes before i did and saw you hooping and was hoping I would see you as well!!

  • Regret that we weren't on the summit to witness this, but great to see it on YouTube.~Tony

  • we kept expecting to run back into you all somewhere on the mountain.. when did you summit!?

  • Wednesday AM, a day after you. Had a great time, and no problems. Camping in the crater must have been quite an experience. I remembered to look you up on YT after seeing an article in yestesday's NYTimes about renewal of hula hooping. You reached the pinnacle of that!

Afterwards our group of 3 did 3 days of wildlife safari, which was amazing.

I presume you've seen news about Ed Wayburn (who lives longer and accomplished more that >99% of us).

  • A good guide is fun and spontaneous. They also need a very vociferous Woo-Whooo!

  • Michael ...only YOU, gotta LOVE YA!

  • wow, you are an amazing man! it is so inspiring to see you climb the highest mountain in africa and remind all of us that we can all remember to be as children!

  • Shared the video with my Facebook friends and a few others on the net. Rock and Roll with your Hoop.

  • thanks i had never heard of another hooper up there and the local guides and porters had alot of fun learning to hoop up the mountain!

  • Michael is the only man in the world who would collapse a hula hoop, put it in his back pack for the long trek up Kilimanjaro to produce a video that proves his superb physical condition and a joyous moment. Thanks for sharing your experience with Sonnie Willis.
