ive had my drum heads for yrs and looks theyre still smooth. the fifth drum is far warped..just get a blow torch and loosen the drum head a little then add heat to smoothen out.
Why does everyone keep putting down the youth? The guy's just trying to help out those who SEEK help...NOT entertain critics on Youtube! Just leave him be!!
this is an awesome lesson but it truly is begginer / intermediate quads and triplets are both pretty basic stuff. still a cool vidieo but should not be called advanced
all this is, is triplet's , and quadriplets witch is just a three beat pattern or a four beat pattern, i have only been playing for about 5 months now and i can do what your doing and faster i wouldent say this is a begginer but deffinetly not advanced thats just my opinion
Suggestion: Evans Hydraulic batter heads and Evans resonance heads. The oil in the batter heads gives the perfect level of "muffling" and you can let the resonant heads ring to give you a full, rich tone without getting "dead" tones out of your toms. I've recorded and toured with the Evans Hydraulics and nothing beats em as far as my experience goes. Also, I use the Evans ST Dry on my snare batter. Love em... Gives a great, crisp, tight snare with powerful tom sound when used on your kit.
They make his drums sound like cardboard. Pinstripes on both sides, and duct tape on the reso? some overtones are necessary to project. drums sound much different behind them than they do 20ft in front. all that muffling and tape aren't needed. just good heads, and proper tuning :)
thanks for replyin man .. yeaa they sound diff in front and behind them .. i use remo heads that came with my kit which i dont like i had to put tape on them for the echo to go away a lil bit lol .. i hate the tape n stuff i gotta get good heads..no homo lol
This isn't advanced in any way, intermediate maybe, and if your going to post something people are supposed to learn from, have a little respect for your drums dude, they sound terrible...
I'm not really into the whole teaching people drums fills thing..I prefer rudiments rather than simple fills, they will help you evolve your own style and playing ability. go out and get a rudiments book and practice.
you all need to remember that these lessons are for beginners. people who have just gotten a drum set and have never touched sticks. this is advanced for those with NO musical experience.
duct tape in an X on the bottom and aquariun plastic ring dampeners. Then I just tune them like normal. It make them sound deeper then they actually are. It's just prolonging the fact that I need new drums.
I do that triplette or however you spell it pattern with my left and right to help me get more coordinated. It helps a lot in like solo's when you can go from open handed to playing to traditional etc.
Another great way to practice this fill is with one hand and one foot, while keeping time on the hi-hat with the free hand. Just another great way to get your coordination up.
I think you guys are failing to remember who these videos are for. They are for people who have never played drums and want to learn how. Someone who has never played drums would look at this and think it was very complicated even though to an experienced drummer, it's easy as hell.
Nice all the people talking shit are all just rich lil fucks who get everthing handed to them

I agree completely. Every thing you play can be some how derived from rudiments. Even th "simple fills".

okay i give YOU lessons ... how to tune drums ..
and THEN you can think about giving lessons to other ppl
hanfbrot 2 years ago
1. Take an English class.
2. Every drummer tunes his drums different. We don't all have the money to afford better drums or heads either.
3. Stop criticizing, and start helping people.
jongarrett09 2 years ago 8
advanced? this is very easy...
and ur using double pedals, not impressive really imo

apply your first lesson to this and this could and is done on one pedal
fun groove though but can be over played when first learned, the trick is to know where to put it
