Probably the VERY same reason MTV, MTV2, VH1, and CMT don't show music videos (rarely at best). Probably the same reason why MTV jams and VH1 classic now show commercials.

Some producer came in and thought it would be a great way to make more money for the channel by changing the format and turning the channel on it's head. Or they were bought by a company (like Viacom) and they thought chanignig it would make them more money.
