  • GOOD!

  • respectable home studio but poor demo show room

  • Hey man. I really like your setup. Looks like it offers a smooth workflow. Question. Where did you get those risers for your near filed monitors? Im looking everywhere for something practical. Thanks-Dave

  • Sounds very nice and clean. I'm not sure if that is a compliment or not.

  • I have to say I'm pretty sure I was getting all of this from the triton, especially the Triton Extreme I use now. But to be fair it's going to take time to get into the bowels of it to wrestle out the sounds that it can generate that no other can. However if you have a computer with Cubase 5+ and Toontrack Superior Drummer or BFD and thus have no need of a workstation keyboard I'm not sure why you would want this. Looking forward to finding one in a store to have a go on.

  • I agree, I have a kronos and the guitars are weak. Hope this will change in the near future.

Its still the best workstation on the market. MM

  • Im happy with my MOTIF..but this sounds great..enjoy it!

  • no

  • Motif is better no dude!!

  • Many sounds of Motif XF is better than this.....

  • @prince4d i dont think so!

  • respectfully I hate you for having this! And your studio looks mint!

  • are the opening sound FX from the Kronos or your own personal ones?

  • Wow...$3,000 for this keyboard & Korg still hasn't upgraded their guitar sampling??

I've been a loyal Korg fan for over 20 years, but I finally became disgusted with their mediocre pad sounds,e.guitar sounds & bass sounds.

Korg can keep this overpriced lemon,as it really doesn't make any sense to use the Kronos for home studio use...not at this price.

I sold my M3,bought a monster PC and also purchased the Yamaha MOX6,along with Reason 6...saved myself some serious coin & I'm set for life.

  • @uniformedservice1969 If you cant afford the price then obviously you are going to bitch.

Reason 6 sounds weak if you had said you bought Mashine with komplete 8 Ultimate and a motu card costing a grand with ssd drives in your pc and a full size weighted controller I may have too you seriously.

But then you would have said eff that the Kronos is cheaper.

If your a clown join the circus this is a tool for ''real'' musicians not a typewriter that jumps and crashes.

  • Kronos is definitely a great peice of hardware, I'm not dissing it. But @oggfish is right vst can go much, much further, and sound way better most of the time. AND they're much cheaper. I'd rather have a laptop or a controlBLADE( both computer and midi controller in one)to produce my music.

  • @SilverfangX777 A pc with VST's is not an instrument and more importantly dont feel like one and they always sooner or later play up.

To get a system that works like a Kronos with Karma tell me how much you have to spend on a pc with ssd a touch screen and pro sound card/interface?

You say what you say because you cant afford one!

  • Comment removed

  • @BlouseFashion Another thing is that you can get a 1tb ssd for $500. "You say what you say because you cant afford one!". This wasn't necessary, I could easily go out and test one, or I can easily rent one as well.

  • @SilverfangX777 Then if you can afford one your argument dont stand up and you say you have not tested one either?

I would love to see a video of you making music on a $500 ssd drive lol.

Im breaking your balls mate dont take me seriously we all do whatever we feel is right.

    All the best.

  • @BlouseFashion heh yeah, sorry if I'm tense. It's hard to tell over the internet. But yeah software+hardware=otherworldy setup.

  • actually I wanted to hear sounds that kronos make unique not sound is called vintage because they are heard a lot.

  • Recording into Garageband there, I see!

  • which has better analog sounds for dance?kronos or virus?

  • @katseazzz

I like the Access Virus gear most among VA synths. If it's just analog sounds get the Virus! If you need a workstation which states all kind of sound go for a Kronos/Motif/Fantom.

  • @katseazzz Virus.

  • Your chord progression is too simple and repetitive. The lead synth is too harsh.

  • @hillock10 lol! you came here for demo or show-off?

  • Nice! I want one. That's a real tidy setup you have in your studio too.

  • I love the SFX's of it, LOL!!!!! It sounded like a coke commercial at the begining, even the car noises are good.

  • Thanks for posting the video. It was very helpful!!!!! Your intro was too cool!!!!!

  • can you give us your opinion of this machine...is it worth it?

  • @clipbrowser

hello. kronos is an amazing piece of hardware. the weakiest point i think is the guitar sounds, i hope korg will adress this in future soundsets. and with the SSD, you can stream samples, they should come with amazing libraries. More, an update will available in october, you will be able to connect nanopad or any midi compliant device to the kronos. Finally, the plug in editor should be available in november...that's great news !!

  • @rcmusic35 thanks for the awesome info

  • @rcmusic35 Thank you for the info :)

  • @clipbrowser You are much better of with a vst computer and a very good hammer action master keyboard. Plugins sound better. Even on stage i prefer a laptop with good pluggies..

  • @oggfish thanks for your advise. Can I ask if you own a Kronos to make your opinion? Thanks you, regards

  • @clipbrowser i dont own a Kronos but i`ve played on one. Its a great machine no doubt about that. But what you can do with software plugins these days goes even further for a fraction of the price. If i´m correct, the kronos got 30 gig of soundram. In these days a single plugin can be 30 gig and thats only 1. That doenst mean its all about the size.

  • @oggfish Hi thanks for the tip. Can you recommend a great keyboard? Cheers

  • @clipbrowser I would buy a Maudio master keyboard or an old A90, just try out alot of masterkeyboards in order to find out what plays best for you. Then buy a i7 laptop with 8 gig ram + an cheap audiocard (maudio fasttrackpro) and buy Omnishere for all sorts of good sounds and Kontakt4 with Alicia Keys piano library or Ivory2, Trust me you would be very happy!

  • @oggfish thanks so much for the info, very much appreciated, cheers

  • @oggfish you've certainly got a good point. Thank you

  • can we make flamenco music with guitar sounds (i mean like flamenco rythms) or does it have any patches vsts for guitar sounds.. sorry i know nothing about keyboards and workstations i just plan to buy but i cant decide :) and you are really great and enjoyable with your Kronos :) well done and good luck wanna see more samples.. thanks for the sharing it with us..

  • UGH!!!!! I think Im back to kronos...I did change my mind and was about to purchase a motif xf but.....I have to renege on that..

  • you are playing exact what i like. sounds great

  • I enjoyed this demo very much -- I did NOT want to see the manufacturer's demo - the title "In My Home Studio" is what lead me here. You play very well - glad you are enjoying your gear!

  • Nice playing dude.

  • Some nice playing and nice set up. I even liked some of the guitar stuff even though Kronos and Korg have been criticised for not being up to the task in the fretted department. It would be great to see some more demos like these. Keep it up:)

  • that thing is beautiful you are sick man never stop making music EVER

  • that thing is beautiful you are sick man never stop making music EVER

  • Give me a Yamaha any day over this piece of junk.

  • Hay ! make more of these. They started to get cool when the camera angles began to change to front back sideways and alike... and I appreciate the demo.... Would like to hear more strange sounds and effects..

    thanks...

  • Sounds just like other Korg workstations. Nothing new.

  • how much the keyboard in the store plese send me message i need information and keyboard too

  • Next , a video of all that stuff working together for one masterpiece !

  • Hey, can you give me some of your equipment, I'd really appreciate it. Lol, it was worth a shot. Nice setup and thanks for the beautiful music! Peace

  • @VenVile

    thanx a lot :-)

  • oasys is a much better synth than this, this is not bad, but not great either. what r korg doing?????

  • I don't hear anything new here just more of the old sounds packed into one synth. I would like to play one some day so I can decide if I should purchase one. I am always looking for synths that have new technology to make fresh new sounds. Thanks for the demo.

  • This is the worst sounding piece of Sh......t Cr.....p Synth Korg has engineered. I have two Oasys synths that I am very satisfied with and this Kronos sounds nothing like an Oasys. I will dish out the extra dollars to get a Roland jupiter 80. I had a Roland jupiter 8 for 30 years. Nothing against the player or video just Korg. Be careful with Korg they will not support anything much over a year or two which is bogus.

  • @imun1ty

i used to have an oasys too, so i can understand you. please aware that kronos used the same engines and DAC as the oasys, so the sound quality is the same and even better concerning drums, ep and piano (new engines and sounds)

  • @imun1ty The Kronos sounds exactly like the Oasys. I've got an Oasys and have been playing the Kronos for the past 4 days. Its awesome.

  • @imun1ty

Enough with the sour grapes. I've played to the Kronos and it sounds great. It will probably be my next board.

  • Great video--no talking just playing --Great

  • yeah nice stuff

  • Nice stuff man.

It seems that customers are really enjoying playing this thing.

  • Nice just ordered my Kronos 88 :)

  • @5:36 my just be my favorite patch from this so far. What's it called?

    Thanks!

  • @MichaelBlue72

    It's a combi, INT A 028: Kickin'it SW1=AM radio

  • Thanx. this is the 61 notes version. I think there are some videos about SST, maybe Next time, i don't know. thanx
