Hey man. I really like your setup. Looks like it offers a smooth workflow. Question. Where did you get those risers for your near filed monitors? Im looking everywhere for something practical. Thanks-Dave
I have to say I'm pretty sure I was getting all of this from the triton, especially the Triton Extreme I use now. But to be fair it's going to take time to get into the bowels of it to wrestle out the sounds that it can generate that no other can. However if you have a computer with Cubase 5+ and Toontrack Superior Drummer or BFD and thus have no need of a workstation keyboard I'm not sure why you would want this. Looking forward to finding one in a store to have a go on.
@uniformedservice1969 If you cant afford the price then obviously you are going to bitch.
Reason 6 sounds weak if you had said you bought Mashine with komplete 8 Ultimate and a motu card costing a grand with ssd drives in your pc and a full size weighted controller I may have too you seriously.
But then you would have said eff that the Kronos is cheaper.
If your a clown join the circus this is a tool for ''real'' musicians not a typewriter that jumps and crashes.
Kronos is definitely a great peice of hardware, I'm not dissing it. But @oggfish is right vst can go much, much further, and sound way better most of the time. AND they're much cheaper. I'd rather have a laptop or a controlBLADE( both computer and midi controller in one)to produce my music.
@BlouseFashion Fanboy(or girl) much? First of all I wasn't even being rude, I specifically said I wasn't dissing the kronos, now to adress your point. You can buy it(maybe not with karma and an ssd) for about $2000, base configuration, which still blows kronos out of the water. Second of all the kronos IS a computer probably running on the most basic version of linux in a midi controller. Third the kronos isn't future proof it will be replaced by another "big keyboard" eventually
@BlouseFashion Another thing is that you can get a 1tb ssd for $500. "You say what you say because you cant afford one!". This wasn't necessary, I could easily go out and test one, or I can easily rent one as well.
I like the Access Virus gear most among VA synths. If it's just analog sounds get the Virus! If you need a workstation which states all kind of sound go for a Kronos/Motif/Fantom.
hello. kronos is an amazing piece of hardware. the weakiest point i think is the guitar sounds, i hope korg will adress this in future soundsets. and with the SSD, you can stream samples, they should come with amazing libraries. More, an update will available in october, you will be able to connect nanopad or any midi compliant device to the kronos. Finally, the plug in editor should be available in november...that's great news !!
@clipbrowser You are much better of with a vst computer and a very good hammer action master keyboard. Plugins sound better. Even on stage i prefer a laptop with good pluggies..
@clipbrowser i dont own a Kronos but i`ve played on one. Its a great machine no doubt about that. But what you can do with software plugins these days goes even further for a fraction of the price. If i´m correct, the kronos got 30 gig of soundram. In these days a single plugin can be 30 gig and thats only 1. That doenst mean its all about the size.
@clipbrowser I would buy a Maudio master keyboard or an old A90, just try out alot of masterkeyboards in order to find out what plays best for you. Then buy a i7 laptop with 8 gig ram + an cheap audiocard (maudio fasttrackpro) and buy Omnishere for all sorts of good sounds and Kontakt4 with Alicia Keys piano library or Ivory2, Trust me you would be very happy!
can we make flamenco music with guitar sounds (i mean like flamenco rythms) or does it have any patches vsts for guitar sounds.. sorry i know nothing about keyboards and workstations i just plan to buy but i cant decide :) and you are really great and enjoyable with your Kronos :) well done and good luck wanna see more samples.. thanks for the sharing it with us..
I enjoyed this demo very much -- I did NOT want to see the manufacturer's demo - the title "In My Home Studio" is what lead me here. You play very well - glad you are enjoying your gear!
Some nice playing and nice set up. I even liked some of the guitar stuff even though Kronos and Korg have been criticised for not being up to the task in the fretted department. It would be great to see some more demos like these. Keep it up:)
@TheMickeysticky I recently went to Guitar Center to have a listen to both the Kronos and Roland Jupiter 80 and I can tell you no matter what you think this does not sound as good as an Oasys hands down. The Jupiter 80 I heard sounds better than the Kronos no question. A Korg Oasys and a Roland Jupiter 80 is a great combination.
Hay ! make more of these. They started to get cool when the camera angles began to change to front back sideways and alike... and I appreciate the demo.... Would like to hear more strange sounds and effects..
I don't hear anything new here just more of the old sounds packed into one synth. I would like to play one some day so I can decide if I should purchase one. I am always looking for synths that have new technology to make fresh new sounds. Thanks for the demo.
This is the worst sounding piece of Sh......t Cr.....p Synth Korg has engineered. I have two Oasys synths that I am very satisfied with and this Kronos sounds nothing like an Oasys. I will dish out the extra dollars to get a Roland jupiter 80. I had a Roland jupiter 8 for 30 years. Nothing against the player or video just Korg. Be careful with Korg they will not support anything much over a year or two which is bogus.
i used to have an oasys too, so i can understand you. please aware that kronos used the same engines and DAC as the oasys, so the sound quality is the same and even better concerning drums, ep and piano (new engines and sounds)
GOOD!

Wow...$3,000 for this keyboard & Korg still hasn't upgraded their guitar sampling??
I've been a loyal Korg fan for over 20 years, but I finally became disgusted with their mediocre pad sounds,e.guitar sounds & bass sounds.
Korg can keep this overpriced lemon,as it really doesn't make any sense to use the Kronos for home studio use...not at this price.
I sold my M3,bought a monster PC and also purchased the Yamaha MOX6,along with Reason 6...saved myself some serious coin & I'm set for life.

@SilverfangX777 A pc with VST's is not an instrument and more importantly dont feel like one and they always sooner or later play up.
To get a system that works like a Kronos with Karma tell me how much you have to spend on a pc with ssd a touch screen and pro sound card/interface?
You say what you say because you cant afford one!
