I've been in the Corps for 14 years now. I'd have to say, yes this site is rather true in its point of view. The Army has almost always been the first in regardless of what war is being fought. There are some things about the Corps that are better, but if Marines were really that elite, then they could just go to a Ranger Battalion. Of course, that would mean doing something really hard, so it's probably not an option.

My father fought 3 tours in Vietnam as infantry 1st Calvary at Khe San and during the Tet, and even was airborne and part of the rangers for 6 months to help them out. Yet, despite getting shot and stratenal in his 1st tour, he didn't get a purple heart while every marine near there base who had even a minor stratenal wound got one. Ridiculous.

I'm also aware of a lot of Marines who have no talent or skill in their MOS in comparison to other branches. We are more aggressive and fanatic, but that's about it. Those 2 qualities alone do not make someone better. Your post is based on actual facts, none of which any Marines I know can prove wrong.
