Maybe the sound makes most of the viewers believe that the landing was not bumpy. Well, I guess it was indeed a hard landing, by looking at the descent rate and the early touchdown. Maybe I'm not a frequent flyer, then I can't decide whether it's good or not, but I think it's not bad at all.

That's not bumpy, come on the wing tips are not bouncing in anyway. I was on a Boing 727 in the mid 80's landing in Newark, NJ during an ice storm and the wings were literally flapping that was down right scary dude!

@marineboy145able yes that is an integral part of the landing process. Its called reverse thrust. It helps the plane stop much quicker. Planes have direct braking on the wheels but reverse thrust eases the wear on these brakes. When the panel slides back it redirects the exhaust and non-used air forward against the plane's forward momentum. Reverse thrust is even more critical when runway surface conditions are poor like in rain or snow when wheel traction is lessened. Hope this helped
