I don't think YouTube should be sold because it hasn't been here that long. YouTube was updated in February 2005 and as for it not being ehre for 2 years yet, already Google is acting as a copycat by updating a new video section. Recently heard, that little section of YouTube is even more popular than MySpace so we can't let this site be sold over competition and a copycat.

I do not noT NOT want google to buy youtube. Youtube is just too special and it'll miss it's glow if google take over. Youtube will just become "an other" part of google. I love YouTube! Why can't google just leave YouTube alone, instead of taking over everything? It seems like google is going to buy every popular site on the net and rule the whole internet.. :[ Just some thoughts.

You know, John, that story of the 80 year-old man isn't too unfamiliar. I'm not sure if you're familiar with Jared Leto's films, but in Requiem for a Dream, there is a character played by Keith David. You may know him from his roles in Crash, Platoon, The Thing, and Armageddon. Anyhow, he plays a character that sells Heroin. However, the only payment he accepts is via sexual favors. It's actually a very entertaining movie and I think you'd enjoy it. Check it out sometime.

John... I'm very excited about Google's possible acquisition of YouTube. With Apple and Google also in talks to include Google's videos in Apple's new "iTV" (to be released in the first quarter of '07), this buyout could lead to a whole new way to browse YouTube videos in higher quality on one's television. I'm in.

Great show John! If YouTube gets sold, I'd rather it be to Google since they seem to have a similar mindset on their video site. I'd be afraid NBC would slap banner ads all over YouTube, upload their TV shows, and then charge for them. Keep up the good work John!
