  • The company name is discount-merchant.

  • You can get the link in the blog post (mine) at the top of the video with the full story and link directly to the color wheel (step 3).

  • Where did u buy ur new color wheel? I cant find one anywhere

  • say my tv does this. i let it chill unplugged for about a half hour then turn it back on. it now starts up and there is a picture but i get the occasional flashing green lines. What should be my plan of action?

  • Thanks for this video! My husband actually found one of these TVs on the curb and we're going to dissect it to see if we can't fix it. We've already fixed a smaller version of a Samsung DLP that was being discarded, these sets are quite simple to repair (especially if you can work on a computer with confidence) and for less than $400 you can bring new life to an old set!

  • @CrssaFox I found 2 of these myself and will be fixing soon. Watch for my posts in a few days coming up.

  • Yes I did solve my issue and the DLP works great!

Mine was the color wheel (Samsung BP96-00674A (SVP-50L3HR) Color Wheel Air Bearing Replacement w/Housing). I bought it from the company discount mechant.

If you comfortable opening up you DLP, I would open it up and check first. It takes probably about 20 minutes and there are quite a few screws. In my case the color wheel was 50% missing and there were little glass chips all over in the chamber where the color wheel sits.

  • Any solution? My started doing this today, I have a new bulb as a standby, swaped it out and no solution(the original bulb was ok.) What did you do?
