I love how the faceless break stereotypes that you don't have to look metal to be deathmetal or techdeath. These guys have serious talent and are respected by metalheads as well as hardcore. They aren't. They are very good live. Considering up in the info box it says "The Faceless live at Bled Fest 07'" you cant judge their current performing abilities.

Keene may use 3 fingers most of the time but his solos are very creative. Whats the problem with using 3 fingers? Isn't technically perfect? Well it still sounds good and when you listen to something you aren't visually scrutinizing it. Also i am amazed at his stretching distance between his second and third finger. Pessimism..

I think especially for bands like the faceless, I tend to focus on the instruments a lot more anyway. Even the vocals. Don't worry about the lyrics, just pretend the screams are another instrument.

well what meshuggah does, is they play rhythmically complicated stuff, like cycling through polymeters, and it's really mind-melting, but it still sounds really simple cause of the 4/4. that's what i like about them. in my opinion i like meshuggah more; i think they seem a bit more innovative, and are just a more fun listening experience. faceless is fucking awesome tho.

on another note, i got ripped off at the show in anaheim, cause disney (owner of the venue) didnt let the faceless play...
