2012 - Mayan Calendar Math - Calculating Time (Part 1 of 2)

Started off interesting, but got too sparsely explained for a beginner. Why did the Mayans apply the dates they applied? Why is 2012 to be 2012, and not 3125?

@lucyk6992 I have no reference to the Mayans using 2012 as a date that makes any logical sense what so ever. Why not 3125 or even 2104 is easy to answer but maybe difficult for you to explain because I use a years/days left until zerodate (end of calendar) calculation and based on the current level of consciousness as of late 2011 it states we are under 1,000 days to go and maybe under 500.

Its more like 256.26 years. The decimal might seem small but .26 of a year is equal to about 98 days. When it comes to calendars, 98 days is a lot to round-off. Im not sure we're dealing with squares.

Actually, I am chinese and we have also stories about snakes and dragons being here andi it coincides with the Mayan legends + Sumerian + Egyptian legends. I really doubt they all made up these beings and they tell the same story. Our makers are coming back and no they are not gods.

A very interesting lecture coming from one of the very brilliant theoretical physicians we should be proud to have. There is a very strong agreement in the world of science that the universe is 13.72 billions old. It was once to be 15, but we improve our calculations and get closer to the real number day by day.

it is easier to make predictions when you have a copy of creations schedule. They had that schedule. At least they had the required math that would have been needed. (or something within' its amazement).

Now that I know the schedule. We are bringing in truth and ethics into play.  This also means that an energy of us beings able to work with each other on a conscious level much better.

Therefore we would always have infinite beginnings in many moments, but the one that should follow the dec2012 date is the most significant infinite moment since 5,00 years ago and the big bang. The one over 5,000 years ago seems to be about as half as strong or relevant to this one. We survived that one well.

Binary numbers 1 = 1 2 = 10 4 = 100 8 = 1000 16 = 10000 32 = 100000 64 = 1000000 128 = 10000000 256 = 100000000 So yes there are no 2's in binary, but the #'s that multiply by 2 like the numbers I put above are 256..512..1024..2048..4096..81­92 and so on. These are very big numbers in binary

I see 20 has more meaning to it now that they talked about Vigesimal. I could make a case for both being correct, with the one i said or the one of 20.
