I'm no fan of DK, but I'm with him here. Instead of bailing out AIG, the US govt. should have covered some portion of their obligations while forcing them through the bankruptcy process, combing through their books to collect enough evidence to send as many executives to prison as possible. Unfortunately, Bush, Obama, Paulson, Geitner and Bernanke have all swallowed the same cool-aid on this one.
Ed Liddy is an incompetent liar. AIG is a corrupt business that sacrifies innocent families for fun & profit. The execs are stupid & greedy ( & loathsome) sucks who play the stupid, snobish game of golf & laugh at the poor suckers they've destroyed. Hopefully soon they will be forced to give up all their ill-gotten assets including their whore-bonuses & slut-salaries & then spend some time in the gutter. THESE ARE DISGUSTING MEN WHO ACT LIKE BITCH DOGS IN HEAT WITH SHIT DRYING ON THEIR RUMPS!
The Queen of England is awarding Chief William Bratton as a member of the British Empire at the British Embassy in Washington D.C. on September 11, 2009. On September 11th !!!!
Is Chief William Bratton another treasonous 9-11 criminal?
AIG awarded Larry Silverstein BILLIONS of dollars for the destruction of the entire World Trade Center complex. Kroll Associates is a subsidiary of AIG. Kroll Associates was in charge of security at the entire World Trade Center complex from 1993 through September 11, 2001. Kroll Associates is currently consulting the LAPD over its entire operations. LAPD Chief William Bratton was working for Kroll Associates on September 11, 2001.
Ripping off disability insurance is a big racket set up by vermin lawyers out to make a quick buck. Injuries are faked all the time. An insurance company has a duty to fight these abuses. I gues it's not enough for a fireman to work for 20 years and then receive 80% plus of their pay for another 40+ years at tax payer expense.
Where's Kucinich's outrage at the Chrysler bankruptcy deal where Obama ripped off the secured Bond holder retirement funds for the state of Indiana?
I like to think of both sides of an issue, although in this case it is true that the insurance companies do go too far in denying claims, but then again, if they were not ripped off so much, they wouldn't be as scrutinizing as they are. There's always some cause and effect involved.
This is true that people do in fact abuse insurance companies. Though it may be wrong it is still the business that they are in and fraud is obviously the number one risk. At no cost should honest people be screwed. I agree with your statement but the responsibility of securing their own business's safety is their own. This is like asking criminals to not comit crimes because we dont have enough police. Money is the cause and greed is the effect.
Agree with a lot of what you're saying, but insurance companies would be every bit as scutinizing if they'd never been ripped off at all. It's the nature of the corporation to increase profits in every possible way. Of course greed goes both ways, but the insurance companies are the undisputed chamops
"It's the nature of the corporation to increase profits in every possible way." That's a much generalized accusation that is not true. I own a corporation with 10 employees, and I have never, and would never, rip them off in order for the corporation, me, to increase profits. I only try to make things more efficient. Basically I try to get them to stop breaking and wasting things. I also don't cheat my customers because if I lose them then I have nothing. It's not big, but it's a corporation.
I've always been a Union-of-one. If I don't like how I'm treated then I quit. I've never had an employer or supervisor yell at me, and I think the reason is because I give my all to the job, and they see that. If I treat them right, then I expect them to treat me right, and if they don't, then I move on. Now that I have my own company, I am on the other side. It's sometimes hard to do, but I'm always honest with my employees even though it gets me into trouble sometimes, but that's life.

yes, but that's you.
You're the owner.
Big corporations have like 100 owners, chairmans and so on.
each of them all have their own interests, and to meet all these interests, they need to torn their employees apart.
