I thought that this particular train is a RER-service. I can't remember this situation any longer, because it was more than a year ago, but I think I saw it right that day, so I stick with my opinion, that this is a RER-service. I should mention that both RER and Transilien use the same rolling stock, so that could explain your confusion about this.
It's not RER, it's transilien, also a commuter rail networrk.

True, but the Transilien logotype is used in the front, and the RER logo is used on Transilien trains too.

What was the direction of the train? Paris - Montparnasse (Transilien) or St Martin d'Étampes (RER)? The latter goes through central Paris.
AndreDevecserii 2 years ago
I don't know that exactly, but it certainly wasn't Montparnasse.
Bloober19 2 years ago
Ok, then it was an RER C service to Saint Martin d'Étampes (if it was off-peak) or Brétigny-sur-Orge (if it was peak).

@AndreDevecserii Versailles-Chantiers est aussi un terminus !

@mathiaske3 Yes, because Bloober19 said that the train didn't go to Montparnasse so it couldn't have been Transilien.
