@tjluna1960 I had a pleco and synodontis in my tank for a while and my pleco was basicly this things bitch. aslong as your pleco is larger it should be able to hold its own
@TheToastPeople Finally something I can relate to. I have the same a plec and just bought a syndontis. basically it wont leave my pleco alone. my syndontis has got some strange obsession with my pleco. it does not seem to bother the other fish only the pleco. it does not seem aggressive but could be. lol. it just keeps rubbing its whiskers up and down the pleco. the pleco is larger and seems to be ok but i don't think he is looking as happy about the new arrangement. the syndontis is lovin it
@barrycawston Sounds like there getting along just fine, I had one that would just rip the plecos fins with its mouth. They like to be really nosey with there whiskers and because pleocs oftern stay still this is a pefect time for the synodontis to strike lol!
@TheToastPeople they seem to be tolerating each other a lot more now. not as much activity as before. maybe there is some mutual understanding between the two after all. lol. not got no nipping and mr pleco seems to be able to hold his own. they will prob turn out to be best buddy's as time goes on. interesting to watch. love the catfish. i have heard they get grumpy wid each other as they age. hope they get along or 1 will have 2 go in other tank. they both have soooooo much character.
ive got one that is a little lighter with dark spots, almost like a leopard about 3 inches in length and always upside down eating my green temple...weird im wonderin if its the same thing
we had one that someone gave to the fish store I worked at. That thing was like 12 to 14 inches. It was the same species as the one in the video. Synidontis N. I can't remember the last part of the name, it was like Nigrevieris or something.
@cichlids4ever Hey, sorry to reply to a year old comment, but he probably meant Synodontis nigromaculata which can get to about 13.5". Also, the largest known synodontis species (Synodontis xiphias) can get up to 30 inches, and there are also two other species that get to 20-25", just b/c some species don't get big doesn't mean that all species stay small.
have the same type, I almost bought a baby feather fin but I'm so happy I didn't. These guys are so much pretty and sleeker :D
