@lordvoldamort666 It's the dragunov-style replacement stock and I believe it fits all of the Saigas. It's ambidextrous, except for the cheek pad which is technically righty but I've learned to live with it as a lefty.
@Elijahm16 Stag uses the Diamondhead V-RS rail system for the forend on the Model 3. So, you need to get their rail segments. They have full length and half length segments so you can fully customize your front end. I went with full length rails all the way around but they also offer bumpers if you don't want rails. Overall, I think it's a nice system.
I bought the same rifle and I dig it. I also don't have $500 laying around and am thinking about getting a cheap knock-off holographic sight. How did yours end up doing?
@Dooshbagilo If I were doing it over again, I wouldn't have gone with that sight. In fact, I'm on the market for something magnified now, maybe a lightweight 2-7x. I like the holo sight, however, if you want to go that route, get the real deal. You really do get what you pay for. I'll probably put that knock-off on to my M&P 15-22 when i get a better sight for my Stag.
@Dooshbagilo I broke a knock off EOTech during its 1st mag on my AK. I now have a real on on it and it has seen over 3000 rounds and is well built. If you do not have the money for an EOTech you can find some other red dot type sights for around $100 that work just fine. I really like the vortex strikefire red dot. I have it on a few weapons and it is great and is like $125 - $150.
for all you guys that download videos that say field test or 100 yard shooting...please don't just up-load video of you shooting your gun...please also include paper target results so we can get more out of the video than just watching you shoot your gun
I've had problems w/ the quick release mount system I finally went w/ an over the dust cover scope mount. I've made shot's at the 700 yd. range. My sons Saiga did very well w/ the quick release system? Please check out my video @ Saiga 7.62x39 600 yds The accuracy is incredible for that range. The cheap optics have always proven to be exactly what they are, at least for me. Good video by the way. Happy shooting!!!!!
@blackheartsbirth Fortunately for me, my state firearm laws agree with you. Although it has an AK action, my rifle does not fire the 7.62 round and therefore "cannot be readily converted to an AK-47 assault rifle", and is therefore legal. Unfortunately for me, I cannot obtain a "true" AK in my state so I'll have to stick with a .223, .308, or shotgun caliber Saigas.
@blackheartsbirth Nope, not Cali... the People's Republic of Connecticut. Wanna know what else sucks... see the stock on my Stag, looks collapsable... yeah, it's pinned in place because God forbid, 6" of travel on the stock would make it an "assault rifle" in the eyes of the state. No bayonet lug allowed, no collapsing stocks, no "flash hiders" (but muzzle brakes are ok, lol). Remnants of the old assault weapons ban. Basically, they limit the number of "evil" features the gun can have.
@DangerCL0SE Fuck that bro, that sucks, Nevada is where its at for gun laws, Pretty much everything goes here unless you live in north las vegas. Republic of connecticut, sounds more like a democracy not a republic lol
@brotherskeepers111 I almost went with the lefty upper like yours but have gotten accustomed to shooting righty guns left handed. Nothing like the occassional hot brass to the face to keep you on your toes :)
@SymbioteEmbryo I believe they are proprietary based on how they mate up to the handguard. The back side of the rail segments are not flat, the have a lip on either side which grabs onto raised portions of the hand guard that run parallel to the barrel. I can tell you that it was a bit of a pain getting them on and in my case required an extra pair of hands to squeeze the halves of the hand guard together while I fit the rail segments in place. It is, however, a really nice modular system.
i love my saiga .223, better than any ak out there.

What stock is that you have on the saiga 223? Do they also have right hand versions for it?

what rails did you add to the Stag? I got the Model 3 today and didn't realize it didn't come with side and lower rails and that you had to buy them.

it would still be considered an ak....you can change the caliber with conversions. Nice gun btw i have the 7.62 one
SilverPatron420 4 months ago
Ak47 shoots 7.62x39, not 22.3
papichu10 5 months ago
an ak that doesn't shoot the 7.62 is no ak at all in my opinion
