thats amazing i rele want to go to a parelli program workshop one day both my horses could use it... your horse looks amazing can tell youve put alotta work into her!! keep up the good work!!
It's called a "savvy string" in the Parelli program. Basically I'm using it here as a "safety net" in case things go wrong so I still have control in an emergency situation. Shoki's brakes are better with a neck rope than most horse's are in a bridle.
Believe it or not, when I first got this horse, I could not steer or control him even in a bridle and bit! The Parelli program has convinced me (and you see the evidence here) that control has nothing to do with equipment and everything to do with building a trusting relationship and a common language!
I love when I watch people ride bridleless and bareback, it is such an awesome thing - I am about to start Parelli Level 1, with my horse, and hope to accomplish this. On what level do you start to ride bridleless?
You will never regret getting started with Parelli. Congrats on making that commitment! It is not until Level 3 that you will achieve bareback and bridleless riding, but everything you do in Levels 1 and 2 prepare you for it! Don't skip steps and follow the program... and you will get there. Best wishes!
i'm just saving enough money for my own set of parelli level 1 gear. You and Shoki look great! I looked at your other videos and Shoki certainly looks more comfortable bridleless and bareback.
You will definitely get there with Mel if you follow the program! Congrats on getting to L2 and enjoy the journey. You are getting to the really fun and engaging stuff now...
That is so great, I hope to be aboe to do that with my horse mel one day, we've been doing pnh for 18months and are working on level two, it is really inspiring to see others doing things makes you realise what is possible.
