I have some questions. To me it seems the V1 is louder but the V2 has a deeper sound. Iam I right?? And what do the headers do? Are they like full lenth headers?
@lpkobe24 Yeah bro, V1 is louder but not by much, I have the v2 on my v6 camaro sounds great. It has a lower drone sound than the v1. go with the v2 if you're gna get it. bbk's full length headers give you 33 more hp and will change the sound also. I'll add the headers in aug but as for now i have a 325 hp v6, gna make it 355 with the headers =P
@Hairyhole1 I'd say the 1st best Axle Back is the Slp Loud Mouth 1 and 2nd best is the Mrt Ver 1.0. I'll be getting LT BBK Headers & Slp Loudmouth 1 with a magnaflow X-pipe because it sounds like a modded big block V8. The JBA Shortys with the MRT 1.0 has that heavy exotic sound like a modded 370z or a GTR! Which ever option u choose you cannot go wrong!
Yes, I think it would be a bit louder, especially at cold start up. Probably a bit more raspy too... not sure about the resonance... I know a few people that have MRT Ver 1.0 with shorty headers and love it!
Dyno didn't show any big gain... hard to do a true before and after though... the before was on a different day... Also think the stock cats might be a bit of a bottle neck... I did however seem to improve my 0-60 by just a hair...
If you watch the other in-cabin video, you can hear how the car just seems to rumble, idling at the stop light! (use a good set of headphones! LOL)
damn, dat is one good sound for a v6

One more question after you had your JBA headers added did you throw any codes or have any issues?
Thanks Again!

Does adding headers void your warranty?
Sevn86 1 year ago
@Sevn86
No, does not void your warranty. Law states a dealership must show your aftermarket parts are the problem before they can deny your warranty claim...
fishingjts 1 year ago 2
@fishingjts dont void warranty, yes. but long tube headers requires a tune, and a tune, I believe, voids your warranty.

@fishingjts how is the cabin noise with these upgrades?

MRT technically stands for Mustang Racing Technology, but then have now branched out to other vehicles...

@fishingjts if i were to get version 1 and put on jba headers do u think the sound would be major different from yours?
