  • If this is Charlestons lot8 why were they under a Hurricane Watch when ernesto was about to hit land and move over Fl. It couldnt have possibly made it to Hurricane Status.

  • The hurricane center stated that it had the possibility of reaching hurricane status before a second US landfall. It got up to 70mph, and really i was surprised that hurricane warnings wern't issued

  • wow Head on apply directly to the forehead

apply directly to the forehead apply directly to the forehead lol

  • It was a ratings stint because the 2006 Hurricane Season was highly inactive comparing to the 2005 one.. So they wanted to utitlize their new look extensively.

  • what a joke...they go into storm alert for a TS, but not Hurricane Dolly

  • To yourweathertodayHD- Agreed! Going into storm alert for Ernesto but not for Dolly is a great example of BULLSHIT!!!!!

  • Agreed.

It was probably like that because of Katrina's Anniversary.

  • definately

  • hey i live at summervlli

  • When it hit my homestate of virginia as TD Ernesto i had to postponed all schedules of Tapings because of it. including what happen in november.

  • Ernesto was a piece of $hit I was out in south florida and the winds were around 20mph.. over the center.. wtf was that $hit?

  • the winds were at 45mph, a weak ass ts

  • @VercittiGangBoy: I also didn't recall that much wind. I live in Boca and the winds never exceeded like 30 MPH. Kind of like what we got during Fay

  • Oh no, it's headON!

  • again, just plain overhype, and I think they were just trying to test their new graphics package for storm alert (They got a backdrop for it too)

  • High Tide landfall? It could be the cause.

  • Probably intense rainfall?

  • where do i go to see the 2007 version of storm alert?

  • Katrina has nothing to do with Ernesto!

  • okay people heres the reason why they probaly went on storm alert

    1. maybe its because katrina hit on that same day.

    remember?

  • katrina hit a day before ernesto, and no where close to where it made landfall in

  • They went to storm alert cause Ernesto was to hit the same area as when wilma pwned florida?

  • I have no idea why they went into storm alert, I think it was just for the ratings and to test their new storm alert mode

  • They went into Storm Alert only because Florida had been hit by 4 hurricanes during the 2004 and 2005 season's each.

  • Ernesto was nothing. They didn't need to go on storm alert.

  • Stephanie Abrams and Jim Cantore really over-hyped Ernesto BIG TIME!

  • The entire network did, going into storm alert on a puny 45mph Tropical Storm

  • Curse you head on!!!!!

  • this is the 2006 version that they used during storm alert.

  • notice the storm alert theme is different to Katrina's.

  • in 2006 they had a different Tropical Graphics set, thats the only reason why

  • HEAD ON!!!

  • OMG That annoying Head On ad!
