  • @cassadanielle

    yes i do.

my dad used to tell me stories about these famous actors

that he admired - i was like totally staring the ceiling fcol.

good thing i remember quite a few names

we'd watched their movies - me; at a very a young age.

am going to create a playlist - as a matter fact.

    thanks again.

  • Sad news: Art Linkletter just passed away at the age of 97. R.I.P. to a broadcasting legend...

  • @fromthesidelines Thank you Barry. I heard this while listening to the radio late last night. I appreciate this notification though because it was only by chance that I heard about it. He was a legend indeed. R.I.P.

  • THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD! I have never seen the tv stuff. I have only hear the radio shows. CFRA here in Ottawa has a 3am Radio/Comedy Hour I listen to at work. I knew that was Mel Blanc! I love how you here voices and KNOW who they are. Yet seeing them is a treat too!

  • @CatpurrRobertaBobbi You're welcome. Yes, watching Jack on television is a completely different experience.

  • Quite welcome, 'hwy'. Incidentally, the animated figure at :20 was Luckies' advertising icon during the mid-'50s, "Happy Joe Lucky"...

  • This episode, usually omitted from most listings of the TV series for some unknown reason, was originally telecast on October 23, 1955, the evening after Mary Martin & Noel Coward's unforgettable performance on CBS' "FORD STAR JUBILEE" presentation of "Together With Music" (which Jack enthusiastically acknowledges at 2:50). Andre Baruch, long-time announcer/spokesman for Luckies [and announcer on their "YOUR HIT PARADE" series], is featured in the first commercial.

  • Thanks Barry. Curious that this episode is usually omitted from the show's TV listings.
