It's because Spider-man was butchered in his first 3 movies... I was hoping the reboot would come out in time for the Avengers, but probably not at this point. But in the comics, Spider-mans biological parents did work for S.H.I.E.L.D. So maybe it might tie him in. He may be just a teenager but he is a huge Marvel name, and deserved better then the terrible trilogy he received.

Marvel should use this series of movies as an example and use their Disney money to buy back some of their more notable properties like Spider-Man, Daredevil and the X-Men. Fox and Sony are really too stupid to make a movie out of any of them that's actually worth seeing.
