You should try taping the hemispheres with tape, leaving the fuse hole open. It makes the crackling stars fly wildly in random directions.

@HelloImChrisNgo You can buy crackling balls online. Just google search 'crackling balls'. PVC pipe can be bought at any hardware store. Don't forget to buy an end for the tube.

It's actually a bad idea to use PVC pipe if you are going to be putting any black powder as a lift charge. The PVC can easily shatter. It is a better idea to use HDPE, fiberglass, or a cardboard consumer mortar. (Like what comes with shell kits). Just thought you should know :)

Haha yeah, I suppose it is. I saw the guy commenting about how you should use BP to improve the lift. He's right, it should be spectacular if you do. Just don't do it w/ BP while you have a PVC mortar and you should be fine :)
