i remember watchin Smart, not always but now and then and i always used to watch Mark drawing and when i heard about him commiting suicide it really made me sad tht such a beatiful man was so... brought to his knees like tht... however, he did what he wanted to do. He didnt want a life of misery and he couldnt take it so he took his life but at the same time i think to myself, what if someone had watched him... maybe he coulda fought to get back on his knees... but its too late now, RIP m8

Does anyone no where Mark was burried, he had his funeral at Tettenahll (St Michael & All Saints Church) however I went to the church and had a very quick look at graves closest to the front and couldnt find it pherhaps I should have looked for longer but had a feeling he wasent actually burried there.

I grew up watching smart, its what made me love art as a kid...and I watched it because Mark made it amazing, he can draw so fast and skillfully! I couldn't believe it when I heard he had gone missing. Then when he was found dead :( I know that thousands of kids and teenagers will miss him greatly, he is a part of my childhood x

What a lovely tribute and a very appropriate song. Bono wrote that for Michael Hutchence after he died. I still can't believe Mark has gone. Its the kind of story that you really can't get your head around. Plus a "celeb" death has never affected me this much. I still feel like crying.

im 26 and i remember him starting on tv.i loved him so much and he made art look so simple.i have my own kids now aged 3 and 4 and they used to watch him on smarteenies - loved the BIG picture LITTLE picture part.he had such enthusiasm and he was also gorgeous and had a loving heart.he was a broken man after natasha died.i hope they are together now and happy.RIP mark,ill always love you babes.
