I had the pleasure of having Baska Fleet in my life ...years ago. Her nickname was Peanut, when I acquired her....She was a triple Bask Bred Filly......I love her. and will always miss her.....
Before her blog, I never really thought about how important conformation was, and I never really knew that it mattered, but now, when I see one that doesn't have the greatest conformation, I can tell. But she's all for just taking great care of horses, because she wants people to be responsible horse owners, and she writes about how important safe fencing is, and keeping the pastures clear of debris, and the horse/s safe. Which I knew that. But she shares so much info, it's why I like her blog.
Some believe that confirmation is a factor of personality traits. My experience is that is true. However, there is more. Nutrition, gental training, excersize and just good time spent with your horse. Pedigree is also important. Like breeds of dogs, breeders have selectively chosen particular traits to add or subtract from their breeding programs. Arabian horses were bred to be tribal family members. But that is another topic.
And I see the great Khemosabi in him. He's not bay, and his white markings aren't identical, but the rest, I see. It's definitely there. Your horse should be known as the great Sir Spattsons, as Khemosabi is known as the great Khemosabi. Because your horse is great. And you've done a great job.
Your welcome. I have had my Arabian, nearly two years. So there is much to learn for me. That's why I am always reading, trying to absorb lots of information. So if I can chat to someone who can broaden my knowledge, that is much appreciated. I want to know all I can. Sometimes I'm amazed at how much I do know, but I am daily reading something, I am daily learning :).
I read an Arabian horse blog, by this woman who has had Arabians for 20 years. Her horses bloodlines include Khemosabi. So she has a lot of bays, couple greys and a few black Arabians.
I also read another blog, by a woman, where her blog is about sharing information, and giving her opinion. And she has pointed out common sense, that I guess isn't so common. A lot of things that should be obvious, but that I guess many don't think about. But mainly what she has taught me, is conformation.
My goodness! What an exquisite horse! God blessed him well, and blessed you, too, to have entrusted this magnificent fellow to your care! Awesome, indeed!
Thank you! Sir Spattson 15.1 at the withers. He also has good substance to balance his height. Thank you again. I always appreciate when people of other breed preferences are attacked to him.
Thank you! We are very proud of him. He is so much fun. Especially when we take our big fancy horse on a trail ride and turn around and take him to a show and he wins the Championship. What is also warming is when people we meet on trail don't realize he is a stallion because he is so well behaived. Thank you for you comment!
I love arabians, i have a polish arabian palomino mare, going to get an arabian stallion soon, always loved them, and they bond so strongly with theirs owners
he is so beautiful!!! i am planning on getting the black arabian desert bred black stallion Rn Layal!! He has a video on here. Your stallion is very pretty if i were you i would keep him the rest of his life, he is like a diamond!!!
Hey. My Arabian Mare named Linali and Sir Spattson are cousins! shes also a granddaughter of *Bask++. She is Fleabitten Grey 15hh 15 years old and registered with the AHA. We were looking for a breeding stallion with similar bloodlines.
Today I bought my second horse and he is an Arabian Stallion named Navar. Hes a dapple grey 6yr old . He was professionally trained in dressage!
Does'nt get any better than that when horses brings a family together. Your website is fantastic...a tribute to the breed and to anyone who appreciates these beautiful animals. And I am recommending it to all.
Beautifully done video...you have really captured the soul of this horse..and shared his life story with us all.The music is beautiful! I would like to know the theme you used. Thank you for taking the time to create your video.
Thank you for your kind words. The video also have more meaning for me. One is was created by a friend of mine that wants to be a film maker. Second, the footage was shot the very day I met met my wife. The theme is from the movie, The Horse Whisperer.
Black Arabs are my lifetime dream horse. I live really close to your barn and my best friend bred her mare to him and is thinking about breeding her other one too!
