I told myself I wasn't going to cry... When that tail wagged though I lost it. It didn't help much that our little rescue, who had gotten pulled from the pound being very neglected and very abused, came up to me while I was crying, licked my face a couple of times, then laid down and rolled over for a belly rub. :D These angels are so incredible.
This is EXACTLY what kind of message people need to see when they say "but I can't make a difference, all by myself!" -- in fact YOU CAN! Thank you so much for this story, for your compassion and sharing this wonderful message. My heart goes out to you---and of course---Stanley xoxo
what a special boy. so happy he was saved. makes you realize that you do have the power. if everyone did yhis for every animal there would be no use for kill shelters!
I don't even know what to say. I have had three wonderful little buddies in my life. All have been rescues. The suffering that others had to endure because I couldn't save them really hits me after this. Please donate to no-more-strays
Dear Stanley, I just watched your video for the first time today and all I have to say is that you are AWESOME. Your story has and will continue to inspire so many people to make the right choice and support animal rescue. Love and happy holidays!
This is absolutely beautiful I am sobbing like a baby how can you NOT I wish the world to love all animals and do everything to keep then happy safe and alive thank you who post this and cross post it and who save any animal in need Your all the coolest people alive who do so :)
Trying to swallow my tears. WARNING: Do NOT watch this if you are at work. You will probably cry like an idiot. I wish I could rescue every dog out of those evil kill shelters and find nice homes for them. Every dog deserves love :-/
I have been watching his recovery on Facebook as well and he is looking amazing these days. I think the world would be a far better place with more people in it like the ones that helped this dog.
Stanley is happy in his forever home. I just saw lovely pictures of him on facebook with his family. You would not believe he is the same dog. Bless you, Stanley. All this was just a bad dream.
so beautiful.. I'm so happy Stanley's doing so well now! I love it when people pull together to help someone, like an innocent dog, who can't help himself <3
@HeathersCritters You Tube won't let me post the address. It generates an error message when I try. It's not hard to find. I found it fast just by searching.
Stanley can be found on Facebook - he looks sooo happy and healthy - bless those who helped him and bless those who help rescue those animals in need of a 2nd chance!!!
Today he looks like a different dog. Almost two weeks after he was saved, Stanley is feeling and looking much healthier. He is living in Port Alberni with his new foster owners Emily Priestly and Adam Percy, along with their five-year-old son and three other dogs.
