Joseph B. Lumpkin's "Banned from the Bible" is an excellent source for research into the lost or banned books of the Bible. The Book of Enoch is excellent reading...
Anyway if you go to most advanced countries today, Sweden, Japan, Canada, UK, France etc..no one takes the bible literally, people may call themselves Christian but no one really takes it in a literal sense, these beliefs are dying. Unfortunately some inbred red necks in the USA do take this stuff literally, and they are powerful in terms of voting and its consequences. However these are still dying beliefs, go to most Churches in Europe, empty.
They just made up crap, this is obvious for anyone who isn't completely blind to see. If people did that today no one would believe them, but just cause some old men did it long ago we take it word for word. They freaking put some letters written by someone in the bible, how dumb to you have to be to think those are the words of GOD, wake the fuck up.
why would a Hebrew Jew have a Greek name J.E.S.U.S? the messiahs real name is called Yahusha. Constantine changed everything. he twisted the Torah the times and the seasons and mixed it up with Pagan sun worship. Christianity is full of Pagan rituals and festivals. if you don't believe me look it up yourself. take at look at this for proof. Santa is Satan look at that closely take the n with Santa and move it in front of the a.
@gatekeeperoflight Santa is not "Satan". he was based on the figure of Saint Nicholas. Oh and by the way, we pagans do not believe in a Satan or devil-like figure. Research? Do some yourself.
Sinful Selfish Greedy Man Has Changed The Word Of GOD! The Vatican has also removed others they dont talk about in this video. Look up the COLBRIN BIBLE to see that what else happened in the story of MOSES.
God made himself human by bein born as one, which Jesus Christ is God that Jesus had to die for our sins, Jesus Christ was a perfect man, he died sinless. But paid for our sins so that he can save our souls, so no one comes before God but by Jesus Christ. Thank you have a nice day :)
@InSaneRew I suppose when in the garden of Gethsemane Jesus was praying to HIMSELF??? Father please take this cup... & again when is the wilderness for 40 days... he prayed to himself??? THAT does NOT compute
@InSaneRew That's bullshit and according to biblical scholarship that is not what the earliest Christians believed, they did not see Jesus as divine. The idea of blood sacrifice is a pagan idea, blood sacrifice to appease GOD. Think about it , its so stupid, why would GOD have to do that, he could surely come up with something better. This is nothing more than a pagan idea adopted by Paul. Have a nice day :)
@MrIntangibleasset The idea of blood sacrifice was around thousands of years prior to Paul. It begins in Genesis and serves as a symbolic foreshadowing of Christ's sacrifice. His sacrifice is foretold in Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 long before Paul came along.
Ok all you people sayin God He doesn't want false gods to be praised like buddha, ummm satan is one and all the other bullshit religions, is because he is not jealous it's that the only way to heaven is believing that the lord Jesus Christ I's the Way the Truth and the Life. That he died for our sins and then, defeated death by rising from the dead, God wants us to praise him, let's say your belief is buddha. Even I'f you did nothin wrong in your life. Your goin to enjoy hell alot better when y
@InSaneRew You are just saying that due to where you were born. If you had been born in 15th century Tibet you'd have a different belief, holy crap are you brainwashed.
And not by a council of bishops deciding how it was written and what was int it. Arguing over it. Come on now! Worship my god with me. All you have to do is live a good life and be a good person! God is Omnipotent he does not care if you worship him by a different name because their is only one! He is above all of that! He does not get jealous over other gods! Sheeesh!
I believe in god as being different than in the christian text. He did not write it! An Omnipotent being would see past present and future and write a text of all times. Times have changed since the bible was written and the sins are different, people are different. Come on people! Use some common sense! If soo many people were going to spend an eternity in hell becuase of worshipping under a different name he would have done something. Maybe a memo but better than a book written 300ad.
Any way Hitler killed about two million people. The god as Christians believe is sending billions upon BILLIONS of good people to hell for all eternity because they worship god by a different name. Or because of this or that or this. Who is worse? Hitler killed the Jews for basically the same reason. I believe in a God who would not do these things. He is above petty things such as believing in god as a different name. He lets all good people into the good afterlife regardless.
Your wrong to think that God will send INNOCENT people to hell, actually if they know the truth and reject it then they are far from innocent but if the truth never came to them they are innocent and are excused.
Well god is Omnipotent right? All powerfull! It says in the bible no gods before me and false idols... well the one and only god would not care about petty things. Isn't that jealousy? God would not be jealous or vindictive! I just can not get over 3.5-4 billion good people going to hell for all eternity because they worship god by a different name. The true god would not do that, not my god. Against my morals and ethics.
like I said for these people ignorance is an excuse. unlike for us who have researched and put our own logics into figuring out things without knowledge just speculations. We read one article and think we know whats going. I do apologize if I offend
i never understood the whole different covenant thing about god and mankind, wouldnt he have the foresight his original covenant wouldnt work
my christian friends are delusional as hell, they see teh apocalypse coming asap and always trying to guilt me saying i disrespect god with my lifestyle
i was brought up as christian, but to think that GOD himself came to live on earth as Jesus christ does not make sence, the fact that when dieing on the cross he asked forgiveness for men for doing this to him. where as islam states that Jesus was only a profit, this to me makes more sence. i believe that islam has a better idea of the truth than christians and jews, after all the holy bible we now today is an edited version of the original ( king james version).
Later they descend; the female gonads(ovaries) stop in the pelvis while the male gonads(testicles) continue their descent before birth to reach the scrotum through the inguinal canal. Even in the adult after the descent of the reproductive organ, these organs receive their nerve supply and blood supply from the Abdominal Aorta, which is in the area between the back bone(spinal column) and the ribs. Even the lymphatic drainage and the venous return goes to the same area.
Kalashinkov94 obviously has no knowledge at all as the whole of the quran is a copy of the sumerian texts taken by the hebrews, chopped about and re-edited for the baylonians for political gain in the 4th century, then constantly re-edited for about a hundred years or so till the rulers were happy it was good enough to control the population with. As for the one god read the histories and you'll find that there was at least 3 in the most ancient religous texts. Muppet
Why does the "pure and true book of allah" say in Surah 86:5-7 that sperm comes from "between the back-bone and the ribs"? Doesn't "allah" know what testicles are?
Ummm, yeah, I'm not Muslim but you couldn't be more wrong about the origin of the Qur'an. I mean, really, there is so much error in just this one comment of yours that it tires me to even think about beginning to correct you. You must be an atheist, right? Usually only atheists are so ignorant, and at the same time arrogant, when it comes to theology or religious studies.
@octarineflame right on the Sumerian texts, their ancient texts form the basis for religion, early history of our civilization and myth in every culture in the world....Where do you draw the line???
Ya Book of of myths and tales are obveouSILLY fake. QURAN has not been changed since day 1. Read it and pray to the ONE and ONLY GOD to help you. Salam
@kalashinkov94 I'm sorry, but was not the Quran written by a man in a cave? I'm sorry, and I am trying to be as respectful as possible, but if I were in a cave for that long I am fairly sure I might start seeing the angel Gabriel and other such things. Please help me to understand your position.
@amiryachum i think the cave story is common pattern in stories of holy/enlightened men/{also till today :Monastic life :to retire alone away from people in order to come closer 2God/in christian monasteries some also go 2 the mountains and live in caves 4some time}(jesus-desert/10 commendments were given on the mountain}Pythagoras lived in a"barrel"/the God of ancient Thraks also "dissapeared"in a cave for3years then came back
still The Coran has some issues but as in all religions is amatter of interpret.for ex:dont relate with the unfaithfull just 2preach them"those who believe in 1god are ok:christians n Jews/but elsewere sais absolutely avoid Jews are enemy"....smthing like that
I dont recall it ever saying Jews are enemies, it says they're misguided people. As for not having non Muslim friends, it says dont take disbelievers for friends over believers. It's ok to have non Muslim friends, but not if they're the kind of people who only want to corrupt you with their beliefs. I have many Christian friends, they dont push their beliefs on me, and so theres no problem.
I really liked your video and your channel. If you need any help getting this video or channel exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. God Bless!
Thanks for a little space to comment on your page!
Nagas in Sanskrit means snakes. It is given by the vedic aryan for tribal Nagas in Northeast India used to worship snake. Kiratas on the other worship phallus stone. watch the video "Connexion of Mongolia-Kirat:Revealing the Mystery of Origin of Phallus Stone Worship"
After the arrival of vedic aryan, the tribals culture & religion were taken in by the vedic culture. Today in Hinduism, phallus stone(Shiva Lingam) is adorned with snakes around it , representing Shiva with snake around his neck.
Keep us on the right path. The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. (1:6-7)
Muhammad was once asked if these words pertained to Jews and Christians. His response was, "Whom else?" (Bukhari 56:662).
"she also gives the fruit to her *husband*" LMAO! There is no mention of marriage in the adam (adam is Hebrew for "man" and adam never really had a proper name) and Eve story. The Hebrew word that is mistranslated in Gen 3:6 is 'iysh. It means man but we couldn't have them not married now, could we? Why these Christians want to force their own beliefs onto historical documents is an interesting study in psychology.
you might like to know that eve aka esha has the same root as woman. and i absolutley agree with your other points. martin luther, the fonder of prodestantism, wanted revelations removed from the bible, how ironic that for many prodestants today have been misled by the new version of the religion, which incidentally originated in hitler's germany in the 30's before it was transferred in it's born again form in america. it is why it is so useful to the right perhaps.
I guess it would depend on the context. For example, in Gen. 3:16 the context seems to require it to be translated as "husband." Besides, Adam and Eve were the only humans on the earth at that time. What did you expect, for Eve to choose between Adam and one of the animals? Of course Adam would, by necessity, be her husband. I think you should also look into how marriage is viewed and defined in the Tanakh. How again are Christians forcing their beliefs in this text?
@professorgreibowitz mine on...doin this to the bible is not a good way to get yours on. I understand the important of history and reach but EVIDENCE is good. They us words like...PROBABLY...I THINK...IT MAYBE...and IT COULD MEAN... Look out for these word in the videos and u will know it is false
its funny to me how this Christian preists and others know all of these and are still Christian lol. What proff do they need?? lol Does jesus need to come down and say IAM NOT GOD!!
@grownazzman14 you'd be surprised at how many priest and preacher that dont know the history of the Bible and their own religion, many of them are indoctrinated to believe the mainstream version of the religion that they preach as the "Word of God.",,the down side of blind faith.
@grownazzman14 Spellcheck, before you post your comments, plz!! Jesus is God in human form, part of the Trinity, or Godhead...he had to become human to be tested and tried as a man. It took the "human blood" of Christ to save mortal humans from their sin.
It is interesting, now that you mention it, tuxi, that you'd promote videos like "Banned from the Bible" while at the same time demanding that the world recognize a "Hebrew original" New Testament. What does YOUR canon look like? If it's the one from Institute for Scriptural Research then basically the Protestant Bible (or Tanakh if you prefer) + the New Testament. The video does nothing to promote your beliefs, and in fact several of the scholars that feature in it disagree with you.
Paul's Greek is very well written and well argued. By contrast, the Greek of some of the Gospels is clumsy by comparison. He's the educated gentlemen to the gospels' country bumpkins (but it's all part of the same bible).
So tuxi, if your mother was not Jewish (you're not ethnically Jewish), you don't practice the modern religion of Judaism, and you don't speak Hebrew, how can you possibly consider yourself either a "Hebrew" or a "Jew"? Rather, you're a member of a modern messianic sect calling itself "Nazarene" which appears to be a Judaized Hebrew Christian movement.
Many secular Jews don't even make token efforts to participate in the religion (festivals, etc) once they leave home. I've met plenty of Jews who grew up speaking english and say "my Hebrew isn't very good but..." so my experience differs from your's.
Many Jews are very religious, others are very secular and nominal. But the presence of the latter proves that your general assumption about Jews is not universal. It's also true of the past, and scholars back me up on this.
Even in english there's multiple words that mean the same type of thing (king, monarch, crownhead, sovereign). It stands to reason that there's nothing suspicious going on just because "YHWH" is translated "LORD" and "Baal" (which means "lord") is left untranslated.
I don't know about you, but I've never been confused when reading a passage from the OT in english between "Baal" and the Deity of Israel (the God of the Jews and Christians). In the Greek, it's obvious which is which (kurios and baal look nothing alike) and ditto for the Hebrew. Just look at it!
LORD used for God in the OT is simply the tetragrammaton ("Yehovah" "Yahweh" "Jehovah" or any other attempt at a reconstruction). If you read a passage, the Hebrew of "LORD" looks like nothing like the Hebrew of "Baal." "Baal" in greek is "Baal" not "kurios" (lord).
So there's no conspiracy afoot to swap the divine name with the name of a generic deity title used by pagans. English translations consistently render it "LORD" (for the God of Israel) and "Baal" for the other word.
You've got it backward. "Baal" simply translates to "lord" and was the generic title of many deities, not a personal name of a specific pagan god or the devil.
There's a good reason to write the documents in a language the greatest number of people could understand, and for this time and place, it was Greek, not Hebrew.
Paul (Saul, same person) taught that the Gospel was for the Jew and also for the Greek. tuxi, I think you're basically giving the impression that in order to follow the Messiah, everyone must become Jewish first, and interpret it in a Jewish way. That's fine, but is that what Paul is arguing? If you disagree with Paul, fine, but again, don't you consider his writings to be sacred scripture?
Paul and Saul (the first century apostlic former Pharisee from Tarsus) are the same person. The text itself documents his name change as it does of Cephas/Simon/Peter. You just really have a thing against Greek and Greeks, don't you? I'm not adding anything pagan, you're the one calling me names and insinuating that I'm a wicked damned soul for presenting the facts.
The conspiracy theories surrounding the DSS (that they would "Destroy Christianity" and therefore are/were being suppressed by the Catholic Church) are nonsense, mostly promoted by atheists and amateur kooks. Read them yourself and you'll see that there's nothing threatening to Christianity in there.
The DSS does nothing but help validate the preservation of the LXX and give us a really early Hebrew OT (much earlier than the Masoretic text), and teach us the beliefs of one particular apocalpytic Jewish sect of the 1st century (no evidence linking it to the followers of the Galilean Messiah).
If they were inspired, then why don't you accept the DSS and instead rely on the post-Christian, medieval Masoretic texts? Like it or not, the earliest NT is in Greek, and had nothing to do with the Qumran community. If the Essenes knew the true faith, why don't you use the "Dead Sea Scrolls Bible" as your holy book instead of the "Institute for Scriptural Research"'s modern creation?
Angels spoke Greek too, apparently, if you read the NT. ;) I imagine God knows all languages and can teach people in any language God chooses. There's also that whole thing about tongues. I find highly problematic then, the notion that the faith is limited to one language (much less Hebrew as that one!).
tuxi, I didn't say YHWH was pagan (though some critical historians would allege that YHWH was but one of many gods worshiped by the ancient Hebrew peoples, before Abram had his revelations). I'm saying IF you say Greek is pagan because pagans used it, then by the same logic Hebrew would be pagan, since it was used by pagans as well.
While there was usually a strong value placed on at least learning some rudimentary Hebrew, many Jews at many places and times adopted the vernacular of the culture they found themselves in. The same happens to be the case with those Jews who wrote the NT.
Let's look at the example of an arab who was raised in the United States. Their first language will be english most likely. Or how about if they are raised in England? They'll be called English if they're a citizen and yet their primary language might well be Arabic! So nationality alone doesn't determine language, but it's usually stronger than ethnicity. We know the same is historically true amongst the Jews.
I know a lot of yahudim in places as far as Zambia. they all speak hebrew. Ishmalites(arabs) speak their native language. In yahudim law you are never to forget who you are and always to keep your identity first hence hebrew
Do they speak only Hebrew? Do they know any Jews that speak other languages?
It is literally impossible to assert that all Jews (either today or in the past) spoke only Hebrew. How are you to enforce a law to "never forget" something? Plenty of Jews forget their heritage, and live as atheists or agnostics.
Jews indeed live all over the world, and many of them have at least a rudimentary understanding of Hebrew they learned as a cultural heritage in their youth. But most who aren't raised in Israel proper learn the vernacular language as their primary language and practice, more or less the culture of those around them, regardless of their religious leanings.
Calling someone a "Hebrew" is just calling them a Jew, that's what it's come to mean. It would have used to mean anyone who spoke the language of Hebrew, including pagans who spoke it. What would you call a Jew who spoke Greek? They're still a Jew, and you can still call them a "Hebrew" in the modern sense of the term.
Hebrew is the language, and it is used generically to describe all of the people who worship YWHW (even though not all people who spoke Hebrew worshiped that deity, nor did all worshipers of that deity speak the language). "Jew" today refers to those same folks, and it also includes the people who are ethnically part of the community even though they no longer practice the religion. It's confusing, I realize.
Likewise, there were numerous apostates and so forth in ancient Israel that spoke the language. So you'll have to invent a new language if you want one that is free from use by pagans. Jews felt perfectly free to speak and write in Greek (if they knew how of course), as did the early Christians, including Paul himself.
I didn't say the could not write in koine. They jews were addressing other jews so why would Paul or any other apostle use a false name created by pagans in alexandria and forsake the real name. You are the one that seems to be speaking againts apostles and putting pagan titles on them
They addressed each other in Greek because that was the common language. Why would they write in Hebrew, a language that fewer and fewer Jews understood (and the gentile converts would most likely not understand)?
Here's an exercise for you... look up the word "Greek" in your concordance for the NT and see how many times it appears and where it appears in context. How are Greeks being communicated with by Jews unless these Jews understand Greek? The NT writings are not addressed only to Jews who would have understood Hebrew, but also Greek speaking Jewish AND gentile converts.
The trouble with this (if it's how you're thinking) is that by the same token, Hebrew is tainted, because while the ancient Hebrews that came to be known as Israelites and then Jews spoke it in worship to their deity, before Abraham converted, they were polytheists! So their language is a much "pagan" as Greek.
Funny that you are posting this under banned books. Did you know that the banned book of enoch says hebrew is the oldest language and language of heaven. So if hebrew is pagan are you saying YHWH is pagan??? pravuil was teh angel that taught enoch hebrew so try again
tuxi, you can quote the relevant passages to me if you wish, but frankly, since neither of us accept the books of Enoch as canonical, what does it matter? It might matter to the Ethiopian Orthodox (the one church that does consider Enoch canonical), but I doubt it, since they translate their scriptures as well and don't use Hebrew or Greek.
I'm going to hazard a guess here tuxi, and say that really you have a problem with the Greek language itself. You have decided that it's evil, because "the Greeks" were pagan. Therefore their language is tainted.
My hebrew bible professor disagrees about the second part and thinks it was like "yaht vey." Another common pronunciation guess is "yah way." "YHWH" is unpronouncable since it lacks vowels (and that was the intentional to prevent any accidental irreverence to the name of the deity). So you can write the characters, okay. But you have no expertise in translating Hebrew (into English or any other language), correct?
lets not forget why the qumrans hid the scrolls in the first place. They could have known through the holy spirit that corruption was to come. They wrote on animal skin to preserve them for 1000's of years .YHWH knew what was to come and hid the scriptures so as for teh last days the true believers could see for themselves the work of satan
tuxi, if you think the Qumran sect had the Holy Spirit, then how do you explain the fact that they didn't accept any of the NT writings as authoritative? How do you explain the differences between their teachings and the teachings of the Messiah from Nazareth and his disciples?
After all, they (sect at Qumran, thought by scholars to be the Essene Jews) didn't cease until 70, and Paul was writing in the 50's and 60's (before his death c. 67).
Why do you think theres friction between israel and Rome over teh DSS and they haven't beeen released in 50 years. because teh DSS will destroy and expose christianity and give credit to house of israel and yahudim . Prophecy says the nations of israel will awaken from their captivity in the last days
There's no "friction between Israel and Rome" over the DSS, tuxi. Where did you get that idea? There's nothing about the Messiah from Nazareth, nor any NT writings in the DSS (which have ALL been published and translated, you can read them all at any bookstore or university library). Have you been asleep for the last 12 years? They're out!
I've got a copy of the DSS on my bookshelf tuxi. How about you? They're not translated online, so you won't be able to "google them" to argue with me on this, though the conspiracy theories are all over the 'net. Instead, read them, and read the modern scholarly literature on them. They've been all out in the open since 1995. In 2002 they became even more accessible to the entire world, both in translation and in scans.
The DSS validate the authenticity of the LXX. Both are earlier than the Masoretic text, and are probably closer to the "original autographs" of the OT.
DSS is significantly differnt from teh pagan LXX. Haven't you heard of the corruption controversy. If teh DSS were never found we would have never known how much the LXX was corrupted. If anything it validates prophesy of biblical coruption by pagans
Various mystics might claim to know and you can believe them if you want to, of course.
The tetragrammaton, "LORD," Hashem, G-d, etc. are all basically placeholders for whatever the real name of the deity was, and pronunciation was avoided out of reverence for it. Nobody is breaking a commandment by speaking to or about God (or writing about the same) in a language other than Hebrew.
3rd commandment says do not take his name in vain. By having so called switcher names you have taken it in vain. YHWH says the ones that shall call out his name will be saved , what will you pagans scream teh titles?? LORd means baalim or baal in hebrew, a word from the devil to remove the name of the creator ...WOW
If translating God's name into another language is "taking the name in vain" then by that logic, using the tetragrammaton, or substituting "Hashem" "LORD" or "G-d" is also breaking the commandment since they're changing how God is being addressed. Are you taking the "name" thing so literally that you think only the Messiah or God's name in Hebrew is salvific? Isn't that artificially limiting the Deity's power?
Are you personally fluent in Koine Greek and ancient Hebrew? Have you studied the scholarly literature? If not, how can you be so sure that your own claims are true?
The fact is that nobody really knows how to pronounce the name of the deity of Israel. Sure, there are many guesses (like Yahweh and Jehovah), but nobody really knows.
Jehovah is a church of england mistranslation. teh name is one and has one pornounciation YHWH-yAHUWEH. AM not fluent in hebrew but i can write the paleo hebrew alphabet and i can write YHWH and YAHUSHUAH in hebrew
JEHOVAH is an anglicanization of a medieval catholic scribal guess, which interspersed the vowels from Lord into the Tetragrammaton. I didn't say it was the true name of the deity, but the pronunication of it is another guess as to what the "divine name" might have sounded like (though it's popularity has greatly decreased in recent decades).
Yahudim speak hebrew whereever you go. its always been like that since the exodus. this is why your proposition is laughable of greek scriptures. I know hebrew culture and history . You know google and want to argue anything that tells you different
If they spoke Hebrew wherever they went, how do you explain texts like the books of Maccabees, Judith, Tobit, etc. These were Jewish texts written by Jews, whose first language was Greek!
tuxi, what degrees do you have in the relevant fields? Who were your teachers? You must not know much about the Diaspora if you think Jews everywhere always spoke only (or even primarily) Hebrew.
HAHAH a yahudim whose first language is greek. You are really ignorant of hebrew families. What part of america are you in. If you are born a yahudim(jew) you language will always be hebrew regardless.
so tuxi, you're saying for all of their entire history, all Jews everywhere (whom you insist on calling "yahudim") spoke only Hebrew? That none of them spoke Greek, or even had a primary language of Greek? Most Jews I know today speak the vernacular, and Hebrew is either a second language or they know only a little bit of it that they learned to please their parents or to follow along in synagogue).
Again I ask you, did Paul speak Greek? Did he write in Greek? If he was okay for Paul, why isn't it okay for any other Jew? And before you argue that Paul did NOT, please show me scholarly evidence that this is the case. All the scholarship I've read says that Paul's authentic letters were all originally composed in Greek.
For Jews in other parts of the world, their native language was usually the vernacular of that culture, even if they usually preserved Hebrew as a liturgical language (but not always).
Jesus himself may have understood Greek (if the Gospels are literally true, he must have, since he quotes the LXX!). If you think those quotes were modified by some later translator, fine, but we have no evidence of that, since the earliest copies (in any language) are worded that way.
YAHUSHUAH never read the septuagint another lie. the hebrew old testament was around until 70 AD . You seem to think the septuagint is something that was accepted by people
The LXX is more faithful to the DSS's Hebrew OT of 70 than is the Masoretic text of the medieval Jewish scribes (the Masoretes). So why do you assume that the LXX is corrupt and the Masoretic text faithful? And how do you go from there (talking about a Hebrew OT) to the leap that the NT "must have been" originally in Hebrew?
LXX changed the name of the creator breaking the third commandment and breaking the last commandment in the book of revelations of adding. The DSS contain the name YHWH in paleo hebrew and do not take the name of the creator in vain with tiles
Yes, the Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew (the earliest hebrew copies are lost to us, but we have ancient Greek translations and Hebrew copies that are close to this Greek, and then we have later, different Hebrew copies from the middle ages). But the native language of the Messiah and his first disciples was Aramaic. The native language of Paul (and many Jews of the time) was Greek.
haha Paul was a hebrew and spoke hebrew, greek wasn't his language. Do you think he would have been part of the sanhedrin if he spoke greek.......man am beginning to doubt you have ever been educated. may i suggest you visit israel you seem to live behind a computer
What you're insisting on is RE-translation into Hebrew, which will "lose more in translation" than a direct translation.
Translating my name into another language doesn't turn me into a different person. You're arguing that translating the names of the deity and messiah into another language renders them powerless or (worse) pagan.
Of course it doesn't but if the acts 4;12 said theres only one name and John 5:43 talks the sin of accepting another...then guess what theres only one name.
I'm saying that scholars interpret the verse that says "spoke in the dialect of hebrew" to mean that the passage is saying in that particular instance, Paul was speaking Aramaic to his audience (but Paul didn't write Acts, his speech is being quoted WITHIN a larger narrative work written by the same author as the Gospel of Luke, IN KOINE GREEK), tuxi.
Hebrew wasn't the language of the common Jew in that region anymore. Aramaic was the language the Messiah and his first disciples spoke. Greek was the trade language of the region, understood by the most people, Jew and Gentile alike. I never said the book of Acts was in Aramaic. I said it was in KOINE GREEK.
tuxi, What evidence do you have that the other NT writers did not understand Greek? Are you admitting then that the letters of Paul are written in Koine? Because if you are, you've conceded the argument (your argument was that the NT was originally in Hebrew). Paul was writing both Jews AND to Gentiles who had converted to belief in the Messiah from Nazareth. Wouldn't he write in a language they could understand?
Paul wrote to hebrews not to teh greek elite unless you are confused. Paul or shaul wrote entirely in hebrew. I merely said he understood koine because he begged the roman soldier to speak to his people in his language. So try again there use google this time
Haha what a funny character first you ask for teh truth i provide your excuse is that they are not scholars. i use scriptures to prove the hebrew language am taking it out of context. This is why i say you are condemned through your own actions . You are trying to use doctrines of demons to taint YHWH's sabbath and commandment and yet still think you are righteous..............lost sheep
removed. That doesn't mean the greek ones were the original only in synagogues of satan do you think that.Only Paul out of the new testament writers psoke koine and he preached to Jews in their native language
There's no evidence at all that Acts or 1 Corinthians were written in Hebrew. Quoting two verses out of context doesn't make it true of the whole work either. I find it hilarious that you think Paul couldn't speak or write Greek. I hear Mexicans speaking english to other Mexicans all the time. I must be having auditory hallucinations because both of their native languages are Spanish, right? ;)
If a chinese man addresses chinese people would you conclude he spoke french to them?? koine was a language of teh elite , paul was educated. teh jews he preached to weren't . How can other apostle speak a language they never learned. Its seems common sense and critical thinking is hard for google scholars
To tell the truth, I know of no evidence that anyone used Hebrew New Testaments except for a handful of probable heretics a century or so after the messiah was born. Scholarly consensus is that the original NT were in Greek, and that's why the earliest Greek texts are used for modern direct translations. Re-translating into Hebrew or inserting the Tetragrammaton into the NT will just make it worse, not better.
The 12 apostles used hebrew new testaments and that can be proved beyond reasonable doubt. You are just in denial and probably think greece is in israel. of so giving back the real name of YHWH is bad and we must all break the 3rd commandment because of some deluded pagans like you...haha
tuxi, the 12 apostles used hebrew new testaments? Prove it.
That's pretty amazing, since tradition holds all the apostles but one were DEAD by the time the NT was completed (about the year 100). Paul and Peter died in the late 60's. How could they have known about the other letters, Revelation, and so forth? You probably think a lot of things about me that aren't true, but that's beside the point.
nazarenes never died out. Plus the majority died around 70AD-110AD and are documented as far as india. By then the brit hadashah was already in circulation
Again, show me any credible evidence that the term "brit hadashah" was in use in the first century, much less that Hebrew copies of the entire NT corpus were "in circulation" by 110.
Show me the documentary evidence you're using to draw your understandings of the Nazarenes from.
Plus, tuxi, if you really believe that the NT was originally in Hebrew and translation corrupts it, by that logic then translating it into ENGLISH would also corrupt it and render it pagan and useless. I presume your nazarene approved "translation" leaves the names of the Messiah and the Deity as Hebrew words, right? But still, the rest of the text in english would invalidate your "translation = corruption" claims.
hahaha translation is not corrupting. Pick up a dictionary and educate yourself. translation is different alteration which is what you pagans did. If names can be translated then please translate your english name into hebrew lets see where that will take you
If translation is not corruption, WHY do you have a problem with the bible in Greek?
Yet I'm not even arguing, as you are, that the NT was translated from Hebrew to Greek. The fact is that the original texts were in Greek, and when an english translation is made, scholars take the earliest greek copies and translate them directly to the vernacular.
YHWH was altered to IOUIA by clement of alexandia. And Iseous was altered too. You cannot add or subtract and then call it a translation thats madness and the work of teh devil. If i restore something to what it was thats not corruption..its simple if you smart
Prove to me the satanic origin of the Greek texts and demonstrate any evidence for the existence of Hebrew originals (if they're forever lost, how can you argue anyway? you'd have to admit you have no bible! Show me any support for the belief in some "inspired" Hebrew NT. You're just translating the Greek into Hebrew, and then altering words based on your doctrinal biases, like the Jehovah's Witnesses did with their bible "translation" the NWT).
tuxi, perhaps you're not aware that many of the "old testament" quotations in the New Testament are from the septuagint (match its wording rather than the hebrew Masoretic text of the middle ages)? That means that both the messiah and his apostles found it acceptable. Does your "Nazarene" translation alter the text to match the medieval Jewish texts instead?
The septuagint corrupted the names of YHWH and all the prophets it didn't corrupt thee actual word. Read the letter of aristeas the corruptions are detailed. Epiphanius and several other people said teh nazarenes had hebrew scriptures and specifically denied greek scriptures. And the scriptures themselves point to teh fact they were written in hebrew but your pagan self wants to give credit to greek writers
Prove to me that the "Gospel of the Hebrews" (or Nazarenes) was the entire New Testament in Hebrew (not Aramaic, and not a later Hebrew TRANSLATION of the Greek) and not in fact the name of a non-canonical book written AFTER the four canonical gospels. Show me that the Nazarenes he speaks of believed and taught the same things you do.
I have always been a natsarim go back to when i first started schooling you. Nazarene?natsarim are you that slow that you can't remember what i said. again acts 21:40 and corinthians proves it.
2 corinthians 11;22 , Acts 21:40 proves it was in hebrew. Unless you are in so much pagan denial that your masters copied hebrew texts and changed them you are lost. Philadelphus from the first century himself says nazarenes read hebrew scriptures . And as a nazarene i still do read hebrew sciptures. You perveted bibles are good only in your synagogues of satan
Repeatedly saying that I'm "lost" and calling me pagan, a follower of satan, perverter and so forth does NOTHING to advance your argument. Considering the amount of scholarly data that contradicts or fails to support your claims, I'd say it's looking like there's a huge beam blocking your vision.
You read a Hebrew TRANSLATION of the Greek NT. So by your own logic, you're reading a corrupted, satanic pagan book, and thus hypocritical.
2 Corinthians 11:22 merely says that Paul was a Hebrew. It does not say indicate that any of the NT writings were originally in Hebrew, or rule out the (fact) that Paul understood and wrote in Greek. Acts 21:40 tells us nothing of what the original language of the book of Acts (which contains this reportedly Aramaic or Hebrew speech Paul's) was. We can only go by the fact that all of the earliest copies are in Greek. Show me otherwise.
A hebrew speaking to hebrews in greek. You are more retarded than i thought. Now you are trying to say the book of acts was the only one in aramic .. pagan
because me and Lew white never created the gregorian calendar, create easter, change teh sabbath or change the original times. I follow the Yahushuah did . And yahushuah never changed any law of moses thats a blatant lie. the church is a murderous organisation that practices lawlessness
There's no need for me to "google it" as this is first year stuff.
Your confusion lies in that you were arguing for the NEW TESTAMENT being originally in Hebrew, NOT that the Old Testament was originally in Hebrew (I agree it was, and so do all scholars, though the Masoretic text is not as early as the LXX, and the DSS validates the accurate preservation of the LXX).
What scholars do agree on, is that the NT was originally Greek, and you're arguing it was Hebrew. Back it up.
The DSS doesn't contain false names like God and iesous. teh dead sea scrolls contain the actual original names YHWH and yehoshuah(joshua) of NUn . The leviticus scroll is available on amazon educate yourself before you keep spewing laughable ignorance

However these are still dying beliefs, go to most Churches in Europe, empty.

why would a Hebrew Jew have a Greek name J.E.S.U.S? the messiahs real name is called Yahusha. Constantine changed everything. he twisted the Torah the times and the seasons and mixed it up with Pagan sun worship. Christianity is full of Pagan rituals and festivals. if you don't believe me look it up yourself. take at look at this for proof. kelisia12952 2 months ago
MrIntangibleasset 2 months ago
@MrIntangibleasset The idea of blood sacrifice was around thousands of years prior to Paul. It begins in Genesis and serves as a symbolic foreshadowing of Christ's sacrifice. His sacrifice is foretold in Psalm 22 and Isaiah 53 long before Paul came along.

Why these Christians want to force their own beliefs onto historical documents is an interesting study in psychology.
professorgreibowitz 4 years ago 15
you might like to know that eve aka esha has the same root as woman. and i absolutley agree with your other points. martin luther, the fonder of prodestantism, wanted revelations removed from the bible, how ironic that for many prodestants today have been misled by the new version of the religion, which incidentally originated in hitler's germany in the 30's before it was transferred in it's born again form in america. it is why it is so useful to the right perhaps.
marsCubed 3 years ago

I guess it would depend on the context. For example, in Gen. 3:16 the context seems to require it to be translated as "husband." Besides, Adam and Eve were the only humans on the earth at that time. What did you expect, for Eve to choose between Adam and one of the animals? Of course Adam would, by necessity, be her husband. I think you should also look into how marriage is viewed and defined in the Tanakh. How again are Christians forcing their beliefs in this text?

It is interesting, now that you mention it, tuxi, that you'd promote videos like "Banned from the Bible" while at the same time demanding that the world recognize a "Hebrew original" New Testament. What does YOUR canon look like? If it's the one from Institute for Scriptural Research then basically the Protestant Bible (or Tanakh if you prefer) + the New Testament. The video does nothing to promote your beliefs, and in fact several of the scholars that feature in it disagree with you.
XSC3 4 years ago
Paul's Greek is very well written and well argued. By contrast, the Greek of some of the Gospels is clumsy by comparison. He's the educated gentlemen to the gospels' country bumpkins (but it's all part of the same bible).
XSC3 4 years ago
So tuxi, if your mother was not Jewish (you're not ethnically Jewish), you don't practice the modern religion of Judaism, and you don't speak Hebrew, how can you possibly consider yourself either a "Hebrew" or a "Jew"? Rather, you're a member of a modern messianic sect calling itself "Nazarene" which appears to be a Judaized Hebrew Christian movement.
XSC3 4 years ago
Many secular Jews don't even make token efforts to participate in the religion (festivals, etc) once they leave home. I've met plenty of Jews who grew up speaking english and say "my Hebrew isn't very good but..." so my experience differs from your's.
Many Jews are very religious, others are very secular and nominal. But the presence of the latter proves that your general assumption about Jews is not universal. It's also true of the past, and scholars back me up on this.
XSC3 4 years ago
Even in english there's multiple words that mean the same type of thing (king, monarch, crownhead, sovereign). It stands to reason that there's nothing suspicious going on just because "YHWH" is translated "LORD" and "Baal" (which means "lord") is left untranslated.
XSC3 4 years ago
I don't know about you, but I've never been confused when reading a passage from the OT in english between "Baal" and the Deity of Israel (the God of the Jews and Christians). In the Greek, it's obvious which is which (kurios and baal look nothing alike) and ditto for the Hebrew. Just look at it!
XSC3 4 years ago
LORD used for God in the OT is simply the tetragrammaton ("Yehovah" "Yahweh" "Jehovah" or any other attempt at a reconstruction). If you read a passage, the Hebrew of "LORD" looks like nothing like the Hebrew of "Baal." "Baal" in greek is "Baal" not "kurios" (lord).
So there's no conspiracy afoot to swap the divine name with the name of a generic deity title used by pagans. English translations consistently render it "LORD" (for the God of Israel) and "Baal" for the other word.
XSC3 4 years ago
tuxi,
You've got it backward. "Baal" simply translates to "lord" and was the generic title of many deities, not a personal name of a specific pagan god or the devil.
XSC3 4 years ago
There's a good reason to write the documents in a language the greatest number of people could understand, and for this time and place, it was Greek, not Hebrew.
XSC3 4 years ago
Paul (Saul, same person) taught that the Gospel was for the Jew and also for the Greek. tuxi, I think you're basically giving the impression that in order to follow the Messiah, everyone must become Jewish first, and interpret it in a Jewish way. That's fine, but is that what Paul is arguing? If you disagree with Paul, fine, but again, don't you consider his writings to be sacred scripture?
XSC3 4 years ago
Paul and Saul (the first century apostlic former Pharisee from Tarsus) are the same person. The text itself documents his name change as it does of Cephas/Simon/Peter. You just really have a thing against Greek and Greeks, don't you? I'm not adding anything pagan, you're the one calling me names and insinuating that I'm a wicked damned soul for presenting the facts.
XSC3 4 years ago
The conspiracy theories surrounding the DSS (that they would "Destroy Christianity" and therefore are/were being suppressed by the Catholic Church) are nonsense, mostly promoted by atheists and amateur kooks. Read them yourself and you'll see that there's nothing threatening to Christianity in there.
XSC3 4 years ago
The DSS does nothing but help validate the preservation of the LXX and give us a really early Hebrew OT (much earlier than the Masoretic text), and teach us the beliefs of one particular apocalpytic Jewish sect of the 1st century (no evidence linking it to the followers of the Galilean Messiah).
XSC3 4 years ago
If they were inspired, then why don't you accept the DSS and instead rely on the post-Christian, medieval Masoretic texts? Like it or not, the earliest NT is in Greek, and had nothing to do with the Qumran community. If the Essenes knew the true faith, why don't you use the "Dead Sea Scrolls Bible" as your holy book instead of the "Institute for Scriptural Research"'s modern creation?
XSC3 4 years ago
Angels spoke Greek too, apparently, if you read the NT. ;) I imagine God knows all languages and can teach people in any language God chooses. There's also that whole thing about tongues. I find highly problematic then, the notion that the faith is limited to one language (much less Hebrew as that one!).
XSC3 4 years ago
tuxi, I didn't say YHWH was pagan (though some critical historians would allege that YHWH was but one of many gods worshiped by the ancient Hebrew peoples, before Abram had his revelations). I'm saying IF you say Greek is pagan because pagans used it, then by the same logic Hebrew would be pagan, since it was used by pagans as well.
XSC3 4 years ago
While there was usually a strong value placed on at least learning some rudimentary Hebrew, many Jews at many places and times adopted the vernacular of the culture they found themselves in. The same happens to be the case with those Jews who wrote the NT.
XSC3 4 years ago
Let's look at the example of an arab who was raised in the United States. Their first language will be english most likely. Or how about if they are raised in England? They'll be called English if they're a citizen and yet their primary language might well be Arabic! So nationality alone doesn't determine language, but it's usually stronger than ethnicity. We know the same is historically true amongst the Jews.
XSC3 4 years ago

It is literally impossible to assert that all Jews (either today or in the past) spoke only Hebrew. How are you to enforce a law to "never forget" something? Plenty of Jews forget their heritage, and live as atheists or agnostics.
XSC3 4 years ago
Jews indeed live all over the world, and many of them have at least a rudimentary understanding of Hebrew they learned as a cultural heritage in their youth. But most who aren't raised in Israel proper learn the vernacular language as their primary language and practice, more or less the culture of those around them, regardless of their religious leanings.
XSC3 4 years ago
Calling someone a "Hebrew" is just calling them a Jew, that's what it's come to mean. It would have used to mean anyone who spoke the language of Hebrew, including pagans who spoke it. What would you call a Jew who spoke Greek? They're still a Jew, and you can still call them a "Hebrew" in the modern sense of the term.
XSC3 4 years ago
jew= tribe of judah= one of teh 12 tribes. hebrew is 12 tribes combined. hebrew is the language of heaven(book of enoch)
tuxi187 4 years ago
Hebrew is the language, and it is used generically to describe all of the people who worship YWHW (even though not all people who spoke Hebrew worshiped that deity, nor did all worshipers of that deity speak the language). "Jew" today refers to those same folks, and it also includes the people who are ethnically part of the community even though they no longer practice the religion. It's confusing, I realize.
XSC3 4 years ago
Likewise, there were numerous apostates and so forth in ancient Israel that spoke the language. So you'll have to invent a new language if you want one that is free from use by pagans. Jews felt perfectly free to speak and write in Greek (if they knew how of course), as did the early Christians, including Paul himself.
XSC3 4 years ago
I didn't say the could not write in koine. They jews were addressing other jews so why would Paul or any other apostle use a false name created by pagans in alexandria and forsake the real name. You are the one that seems to be speaking againts apostles and putting pagan titles on them
tuxi187 4 years ago
They addressed each other in Greek because that was the common language. Why would they write in Hebrew, a language that fewer and fewer Jews understood (and the gentile converts would most likely not understand)?
XSC3 4 years ago
Here's an exercise for you... look up the word "Greek" in your concordance for the NT and see how many times it appears and where it appears in context. How are Greeks being communicated with by Jews unless these Jews understand Greek? The NT writings are not addressed only to Jews who would have understood Hebrew, but also Greek speaking Jewish AND gentile converts.
XSC3 4 years ago
tuxi,
The trouble with this (if it's how you're thinking) is that by the same token, Hebrew is tainted, because while the ancient Hebrews that came to be known as Israelites and then Jews spoke it in worship to their deity, before Abraham converted, they were polytheists! So their language is a much "pagan" as Greek.
XSC3 4 years ago
Funny that you are posting this under banned books. Did you know that the banned book of enoch says hebrew is the oldest language and language of heaven. So if hebrew is pagan are you saying YHWH is pagan??? pravuil was teh angel that taught enoch hebrew so try again
tuxi187 4 years ago
tuxi, you can quote the relevant passages to me if you wish, but frankly, since neither of us accept the books of Enoch as canonical, what does it matter? It might matter to the Ethiopian Orthodox (the one church that does consider Enoch canonical), but I doubt it, since they translate their scriptures as well and don't use Hebrew or Greek.
XSC3 4 years ago
I'm going to hazard a guess here tuxi, and say that really you have a problem with the Greek language itself. You have decided that it's evil, because "the Greeks" were pagan. Therefore their language is tainted.
XSC3 4 years ago
My hebrew bible professor disagrees about the second part and thinks it was like "yaht vey." Another common pronunciation guess is "yah way." "YHWH" is unpronouncable since it lacks vowels (and that was the intentional to prevent any accidental irreverence to the name of the deity). So you can write the characters, okay. But you have no expertise in translating Hebrew (into English or any other language), correct?
XSC3 4 years ago
lets not forget why the qumrans hid the scrolls in the first place. They could have known through the holy spirit that corruption was to come. They wrote on animal skin to preserve them for 1000's of years .YHWH knew what was to come and hid the scriptures so as for teh last days the true believers could see for themselves the work of satan
tuxi187 4 years ago
tuxi, if you think the Qumran sect had the Holy Spirit, then how do you explain the fact that they didn't accept any of the NT writings as authoritative? How do you explain the differences between their teachings and the teachings of the Messiah from Nazareth and his disciples?
XSC3 4 years ago
After all, they (sect at Qumran, thought by scholars to be the Essene Jews) didn't cease until 70, and Paul was writing in the 50's and 60's (before his death c. 67).
XSC3 4 years ago
Why do you think theres friction between israel and Rome over teh DSS and they haven't beeen released in 50 years. because teh DSS will destroy and expose christianity and give credit to house of israel and yahudim . Prophecy says the nations of israel will awaken from their captivity in the last days
tuxi187 4 years ago
There's no "friction between Israel and Rome" over the DSS, tuxi. Where did you get that idea? There's nothing about the Messiah from Nazareth, nor any NT writings in the DSS (which have ALL been published and translated, you can read them all at any bookstore or university library). Have you been asleep for the last 12 years? They're out!
XSC3 4 years ago
I've got a copy of the DSS on my bookshelf tuxi. How about you? They're not translated online, so you won't be able to "google them" to argue with me on this, though the conspiracy theories are all over the 'net. Instead, read them, and read the modern scholarly literature on them. They've been all out in the open since 1995. In 2002 they became even more accessible to the entire world, both in translation and in scans.
XSC3 4 years ago
The DSS validate the authenticity of the LXX. Both are earlier than the Masoretic text, and are probably closer to the "original autographs" of the OT.
XSC3 4 years ago
DSS is significantly differnt from teh pagan LXX. Haven't you heard of the corruption controversy. If teh DSS were never found we would have never known how much the LXX was corrupted. If anything it validates prophesy of biblical coruption by pagans
tuxi187 4 years ago
Various mystics might claim to know and you can believe them if you want to, of course.
The tetragrammaton, "LORD," Hashem, G-d, etc. are all basically placeholders for whatever the real name of the deity was, and pronunciation was avoided out of reverence for it. Nobody is breaking a commandment by speaking to or about God (or writing about the same) in a language other than Hebrew.
XSC3 4 years ago
3rd commandment says do not take his name in vain. By having so called switcher names you have taken it in vain. YHWH says the ones that shall call out his name will be saved , what will you pagans scream teh titles?? LORd means baalim or baal in hebrew, a word from the devil to remove the name of the creator ...WOW
tuxi187 4 years ago
If translating God's name into another language is "taking the name in vain" then by that logic, using the tetragrammaton, or substituting "Hashem" "LORD" or "G-d" is also breaking the commandment since they're changing how God is being addressed. Are you taking the "name" thing so literally that you think only the Messiah or God's name in Hebrew is salvific? Isn't that artificially limiting the Deity's power?
XSC3 4 years ago
tuxi,
Are you personally fluent in Koine Greek and ancient Hebrew? Have you studied the scholarly literature? If not, how can you be so sure that your own claims are true?
The fact is that nobody really knows how to pronounce the name of the deity of Israel. Sure, there are many guesses (like Yahweh and Jehovah), but nobody really knows.
XSC3 4 years ago
Jehovah is a church of england mistranslation. teh name is one and has one pornounciation YHWH-yAHUWEH. AM not fluent in hebrew but i can write the paleo hebrew alphabet and i can write YHWH and YAHUSHUAH in hebrew
tuxi187 4 years ago
JEHOVAH is an anglicanization of a medieval catholic scribal guess, which interspersed the vowels from Lord into the Tetragrammaton. I didn't say it was the true name of the deity, but the pronunication of it is another guess as to what the "divine name" might have sounded like (though it's popularity has greatly decreased in recent decades).
XSC3 4 years ago
Yahudim speak hebrew whereever you go. its always been like that since the exodus. this is why your proposition is laughable of greek scriptures. I know hebrew culture and history . You know google and want to argue anything that tells you different
tuxi187 4 years ago
If they spoke Hebrew wherever they went, how do you explain texts like the books of Maccabees, Judith, Tobit, etc. These were Jewish texts written by Jews, whose first language was Greek!
tuxi, what degrees do you have in the relevant fields? Who were your teachers? You must not know much about the Diaspora if you think Jews everywhere always spoke only (or even primarily) Hebrew.
XSC3 4 years ago
HAHAH a yahudim whose first language is greek. You are really ignorant of hebrew families. What part of america are you in. If you are born a yahudim(jew) you language will always be hebrew regardless.
tuxi187 4 years ago
so tuxi, you're saying for all of their entire history, all Jews everywhere (whom you insist on calling "yahudim") spoke only Hebrew? That none of them spoke Greek, or even had a primary language of Greek? Most Jews I know today speak the vernacular, and Hebrew is either a second language or they know only a little bit of it that they learned to please their parents or to follow along in synagogue).
XSC3 4 years ago
their first language is hebrew. Jew is a french term hence why i use yahudim. ask your so called professor.
tuxi187 4 years ago
Again I ask you, did Paul speak Greek? Did he write in Greek? If he was okay for Paul, why isn't it okay for any other Jew? And before you argue that Paul did NOT, please show me scholarly evidence that this is the case. All the scholarship I've read says that Paul's authentic letters were all originally composed in Greek.
XSC3 4 years ago
For Jews in other parts of the world, their native language was usually the vernacular of that culture, even if they usually preserved Hebrew as a liturgical language (but not always).
Jesus himself may have understood Greek (if the Gospels are literally true, he must have, since he quotes the LXX!). If you think those quotes were modified by some later translator, fine, but we have no evidence of that, since the earliest copies (in any language) are worded that way.
XSC3 4 years ago
YAHUSHUAH never read the septuagint another lie. the hebrew old testament was around until 70 AD . You seem to think the septuagint is something that was accepted by people
tuxi187 4 years ago
The LXX is more faithful to the DSS's Hebrew OT of 70 than is the Masoretic text of the medieval Jewish scribes (the Masoretes). So why do you assume that the LXX is corrupt and the Masoretic text faithful? And how do you go from there (talking about a Hebrew OT) to the leap that the NT "must have been" originally in Hebrew?
XSC3 4 years ago
LXX changed the name of the creator breaking the third commandment and breaking the last commandment in the book of revelations of adding. The DSS contain the name YHWH in paleo hebrew and do not take the name of the creator in vain with tiles
tuxi187 4 years ago
Yes, the Old Testament was originally written in Hebrew (the earliest hebrew copies are lost to us, but we have ancient Greek translations and Hebrew copies that are close to this Greek, and then we have later, different Hebrew copies from the middle ages). But the native language of the Messiah and his first disciples was Aramaic. The native language of Paul (and many Jews of the time) was Greek.
XSC3 4 years ago
haha Paul was a hebrew and spoke hebrew, greek wasn't his language. Do you think he would have been part of the sanhedrin if he spoke greek.......man am beginning to doubt you have ever been educated. may i suggest you visit israel you seem to live behind a computer
tuxi187 4 years ago
tuxi, what do you think the "native language" of Jews is? It depends on where the Jew lives!
They were a Diaspora people after all, and assimilated into the cultures around them (while preserving their religious identity).
XSC3 4 years ago
tuxi,
What you're insisting on is RE-translation into Hebrew, which will "lose more in translation" than a direct translation.
Translating my name into another language doesn't turn me into a different person. You're arguing that translating the names of the deity and messiah into another language renders them powerless or (worse) pagan.
XSC3 4 years ago
Of course it doesn't but if the acts 4;12 said theres only one name and John 5:43 talks the sin of accepting another...then guess what theres only one name.
tuxi187 4 years ago
I'm saying that scholars interpret the verse that says "spoke in the dialect of hebrew" to mean that the passage is saying in that particular instance, Paul was speaking Aramaic to his audience (but Paul didn't write Acts, his speech is being quoted WITHIN a larger narrative work written by the same author as the Gospel of Luke, IN KOINE GREEK), tuxi.
XSC3 4 years ago
Hebrew wasn't the language of the common Jew in that region anymore. Aramaic was the language the Messiah and his first disciples spoke. Greek was the trade language of the region, understood by the most people, Jew and Gentile alike. I never said the book of Acts was in Aramaic. I said it was in KOINE GREEK.
XSC3 4 years ago
tuxi, What evidence do you have that the other NT writers did not understand Greek? Are you admitting then that the letters of Paul are written in Koine? Because if you are, you've conceded the argument (your argument was that the NT was originally in Hebrew). Paul was writing both Jews AND to Gentiles who had converted to belief in the Messiah from Nazareth. Wouldn't he write in a language they could understand?
XSC3 4 years ago
Paul wrote to hebrews not to teh greek elite unless you are confused. Paul or shaul wrote entirely in hebrew. I merely said he understood koine because he begged the roman soldier to speak to his people in his language. So try again there use google this time
tuxi187 4 years ago
Haha what a funny character first you ask for teh truth i provide your excuse is that they are not scholars. i use scriptures to prove the hebrew language am taking it out of context. This is why i say you are condemned through your own actions . You are trying to use doctrines of demons to taint YHWH's sabbath and commandment and yet still think you are righteous..............lost sheep
tuxi187 4 years ago
removed. That doesn't mean the greek ones were the original only in synagogues of satan do you think that.Only Paul out of the new testament writers psoke koine and he preached to Jews in their native language
tuxi187 4 years ago
There's no evidence at all that Acts or 1 Corinthians were written in Hebrew. Quoting two verses out of context doesn't make it true of the whole work either. I find it hilarious that you think Paul couldn't speak or write Greek. I hear Mexicans speaking english to other Mexicans all the time. I must be having auditory hallucinations because both of their native languages are Spanish, right? ;)
XSC3 4 years ago
If a chinese man addresses chinese people would you conclude he spoke french to them?? koine was a language of teh elite , paul was educated. teh jews he preached to weren't . How can other apostle speak a language they never learned. Its seems common sense and critical thinking is hard for google scholars
tuxi187 4 years ago
To tell the truth, I know of no evidence that anyone used Hebrew New Testaments except for a handful of probable heretics a century or so after the messiah was born. Scholarly consensus is that the original NT were in Greek, and that's why the earliest Greek texts are used for modern direct translations. Re-translating into Hebrew or inserting the Tetragrammaton into the NT will just make it worse, not better.
XSC3 4 years ago
The 12 apostles used hebrew new testaments and that can be proved beyond reasonable doubt. You are just in denial and probably think greece is in israel. of so giving back the real name of YHWH is bad and we must all break the 3rd commandment because of some deluded pagans like you...haha
tuxi187 4 years ago
tuxi, the 12 apostles used hebrew new testaments?
XSC3 4 years ago
nazarenes never died out. Plus the majority died around 70AD-110AD and are documented as far as india. By then the brit hadashah was already in circulation
tuxi187 4 years ago
Again, show me any credible evidence that the term "brit hadashah" was in use in the first century, much less that Hebrew copies of the entire NT corpus were "in circulation" by 110.
Show me the documentary evidence you're using to draw your understandings of the Nazarenes from.
XSC3 4 years ago
Have you bothered to google epiphanius at all and his commentary on nazarenes. Its on his wikipedia page a small excerpy do the honours
tuxi187 4 years ago
Plus, tuxi, if you really believe that the NT was originally in Hebrew and translation corrupts it, by that logic then translating it into ENGLISH would also corrupt it and render it pagan and useless. I presume your nazarene approved "translation" leaves the names of the Messiah and the Deity as Hebrew words, right? But still, the rest of the text in english would invalidate your "translation = corruption" claims.
XSC3 4 years ago
hahaha translation is not corrupting. Pick up a dictionary and educate yourself. translation is different alteration which is what you pagans did. If names can be translated then please translate your english name into hebrew lets see where that will take you
tuxi187 4 years ago
If translation is not corruption, WHY do you have a problem with the bible in Greek?
Yet I'm not even arguing, as you are, that the NT was translated from Hebrew to Greek. The fact is that the original texts were in Greek, and when an english translation is made, scholars take the earliest greek copies and translate them directly to the vernacular.
XSC3 4 years ago
YHWH was altered to IOUIA by clement of alexandia. And Iseous was altered too. You cannot add or subtract and then call it a translation thats madness and the work of teh devil. If i restore something to what it was thats not corruption..its simple if you smart
tuxi187 4 years ago
tuxi,
Prove to me the satanic origin of the Greek texts and demonstrate any evidence for the existence of Hebrew originals (if they're forever lost, how can you argue anyway? you'd have to admit you have no bible! Show me any support for the belief in some "inspired" Hebrew NT. You're just translating the Greek into Hebrew, and then altering words based on your doctrinal biases, like the Jehovah's Witnesses did with their bible "translation" the NWT).
XSC3 4 years ago
Go to a library and get an old copy of the septuagint which contains the book of aristeas. acts 21:40 and corinthians
tuxi187 4 years ago
tuxi, perhaps you're not aware that many of the "old testament" quotations in the New Testament are from the septuagint (match its wording rather than the hebrew Masoretic text of the middle ages)? That means that both the messiah and his apostles found it acceptable. Does your "Nazarene" translation alter the text to match the medieval Jewish texts instead?
XSC3 4 years ago
The septuagint corrupted the names of YHWH and all the prophets it didn't corrupt thee actual word. Read the letter of aristeas the corruptions are detailed. Epiphanius and several other people said teh nazarenes had hebrew scriptures and specifically denied greek scriptures. And the scriptures themselves point to teh fact they were written in hebrew but your pagan self wants to give credit to greek writers
tuxi187 4 years ago
Oh, you're a Nazarene now, tuxi?
Prove to me that the "Gospel of the Hebrews" (or Nazarenes) was the entire New Testament in Hebrew (not Aramaic, and not a later Hebrew TRANSLATION of the Greek) and not in fact the name of a non-canonical book written AFTER the four canonical gospels. Show me that the Nazarenes he speaks of believed and taught the same things you do.
XSC3 4 years ago
I have always been a natsarim go back to when i first started schooling you. Nazarene?natsarim are you that slow that you can't remember what i said. again acts 21:40 and corinthians proves it.
tuxi187 4 years ago
2 corinthians 11;22 , Acts 21:40 proves it was in hebrew. Unless you are in so much pagan denial that your masters copied hebrew texts and changed them you are lost. Philadelphus from the first century himself says nazarenes read hebrew scriptures . And as a nazarene i still do read hebrew sciptures. You perveted bibles are good only in your synagogues of satan
tuxi187 4 years ago
epiphanius not philadelphus**
tuxi187 4 years ago
Repeatedly saying that I'm "lost" and calling me pagan, a follower of satan, perverter and so forth does NOTHING to advance your argument. Considering the amount of scholarly data that contradicts or fails to support your claims, I'd say it's looking like there's a huge beam blocking your vision.
You read a Hebrew TRANSLATION of the Greek NT. So by your own logic, you're reading a corrupted, satanic pagan book, and thus hypocritical.
XSC3 4 years ago
2 Corinthians 11:22 merely says that Paul was a Hebrew. It does not say indicate that any of the NT writings were originally in Hebrew, or rule out the (fact) that Paul understood and wrote in Greek. Acts 21:40 tells us nothing of what the original language of the book of Acts (which contains this reportedly Aramaic or Hebrew speech Paul's) was. We can only go by the fact that all of the earliest copies are in Greek. Show me otherwise.
XSC3 4 years ago
A hebrew speaking to hebrews in greek. You are more retarded than i thought. Now you are trying to say the book of acts was the only one in aramic .. pagan
tuxi187 4 years ago
because me and Lew white never created the gregorian calendar, create easter, change teh sabbath or change the original times. I follow the Yahushuah did . And yahushuah never changed any law of moses thats a blatant lie. the church is a murderous organisation that practices lawlessness
tuxi187 4 years ago
tuxi,
There's no need for me to "google it" as this is first year stuff.
Back it up.
XSC3 4 years ago
Acts 21:40 and the real names of the authours prove it was in hebrew.
tuxi187 4 years ago
The DSS doesn't contain false names like God and iesous. teh dead sea scrolls contain the actual original names YHWH and yehoshuah(joshua) of NUn . The leviticus scroll is available on amazon educate yourself before you keep spewing laughable ignorance
tuxi187 4 years ago
tuxi,
"truelly lost person"
You're condemning me to damnation now? Be careful tuxi. Didn't the crucified and risen man warn against such rash judgments?
XSC3 4 years ago
You are lost i never condemned you, you condemned yourself through ignorance and lies.
