@CGpolTV No they wouldn't. The Soviet Union was destined to fail because of it's flawed government and policies. It would have collapsed in on itself eventually no matter what. It wasn't able to support itself. Many people predicted this before the 1980s. It was Reagan who claimed that the Soviet Union was quickly gaining in power and was superior to the U.S. in terms of military. But they really posed no threat to us when they couldn't feed their own people or support their own infrastructure.
