The entire song, is the same in a single 4 bar splice, as it is for the whole duration.
Repetitive for no merit, uninspired looping music, bland tone and sound, generic all the way across the board. No dynamics, no structure, just same same same and then a terribly put together brass anomaly at the end.

Wife ballads that go nowhere and do nothing. I hate this music not just for the sound, but for the sheer non effort involved. It's a slap in my face.
@dano555666 the drum parts are complicated and subtle. the song is in 3/4r (yes it's a basic time signature but hardly anybody uses it). the textures build and change. the arrangement is actually intricate, and clearly there's been a lot of structural thought put into this. There's a grand crescendo in it towards the climactic brass bit at the end (which works very well). If you actually believe in your analysis you haven't listened to the song properly: the song is a masterclass in structure.
@dano555666 Some of the best songs are the the same 4 old boring chords over and over. Look no further than With or Without You. Some progression work well, so they're used a lot, I wouldn't write off a song just because it uses a chord progression that's been done before. Not too fond of the brass bit myself, but someone's gotta employ them, current (shit) pop music has left most of em unemployed!

@mattstank Music is the sum of its parts, you fool. Even if everything you said was true, it wouldn't matter. Putting the world's most talented guitarist, drummer, and singer together does not necessarily make a great band. There's more to it than that, and the ability to make great music is more than just mastering your instrument.
