If you dont already own it...buy the double live album "Strangers in the Night" and this will change your mind...some of the most poignant playing in the last 30 years . Michael Schenker has one of the best tones around like Carlos Santana. Some people don't understand that it is not how fast you can play. But how good you can play and your tones has alot to do with it. Now Michael can play fast as well but without losing his tone and that's very rare.

what makes the "schenk" so badd is during his prime in the 80's when the van halen tapping was being over used by good musicians and posers, he never duplicated that. with that being said, he is a true guitarist, doing his own thing. also, he didn't have to use a floyd rose for vibrato . schenker rules.

Yes I have to agree that while Angus has great showmanship, all of his licks are very repeatitive and rather simple by rock guitar standards. Angus does rock but Michael shreds and shreds. Angus couldnt hold a candle to Micheals talents. I am both a AC/DC fan and Schenker fan. And have been a musician since the age of 12. Its one thing for a fan to state an opinion but listen to the musicians on this page, we know. And I'm not taking anything away from the great Angus, but facts are facts.

What I like best about Schenker is the fact that in His solos He knows when to let rip and when to pull back, if every other rock guitarist knew how to do that, it would rid the world of excessive, self indulgent noise, which is what the majority of guitar solos are.

This album is superb. My man show why he didn't join Areosmith, The Stones, Ozzy, ect. He didn't want to play someone else's music. He wanted to play his own stuff. Regardless of "making it". Props to Schenker for that. Thats rare.

he's had trouble with the bottle for most of his adult life. saw him in manchester this year opening for the scorpions, and he was shocking. he's in his 50's - the second time I've seen him pissed up on stage, and it breaks my heart. there's footage on youtube of him wasted on stage at some hippie festival, but don't let that put you off!!

LoL. Who influenced who I think Michael Schenker influenced Uli more than Uli influenced Michael. Check out first two album of Scorpions example Fly to The Rainbow where Uli wrote the lyrics but music was composed by Schenker and co-lead on it.
