  • they were tight with it! i heart 5*!

  • I like this a lot, reminds me of back in the days, My Birmingham days, Power house.

  • oh damn I forgot about this song! =D

  • still cant believe mandy moore redid this song. like i heard it and i was like HEY!! =D i love the old stuff <3 ahh~~ so much better

  • They were nothing like the jacksons...and I love this group. To compare them to the jackson 5 is like comparing new edition to the temptations or the o'jays. I don't know where this comparison is has any merit...even michael's voice was stronger and louder than hers. Its no comparison...

  • i tunes is starting to piss me off how don't they have this

  • my mom learned how to use ebay to buy this album from some guy in germany. awesome.

  • I'm trying to remember where I was when this group was singing because I just don't remember them at all. I think I may remember this song though.

  • This was a cool group nice songs, nice looking ,and nice choreography.

  • @MrBigchief11 I wasn't even thought about but music like this makes me feel like there is a chance that music could get back to real songs like this!

  • I used to love them.

  • I'm moved from England to the U.S. when I was a kid and I remember being so excited when I heard Five Star for the first time and found out that they were British. They were all so attractive.

  • why do I feel compelled to roller skate lol..

  • THE GUY T THE FAR LEFT REMINDS ME OF MJ HE WAS A HOTTIE :)

  • Love five star.

  • you and whitney . 80's best in my book

  • Five star? What!!! The Bomb I love this song.....Thats right when music had SOUL...

  • @socute2live4. I AGREE with you. Does the record industry think ppl don't Know what True talent is Anymore?? OR, arguing over copyright laws to hide the lack of it, will their Profits thin out like the movie industry has until they get a clue who is supporting which artists with our money??

  • I USE TO SING THIS SONG TO MY HIGH SCHOOL GIRLFRIENDS LOL!!

  • Back before talent was just singing a hook. You had to be an original and know how to sing and dance at the same time (Ciara)

  • Thank fuck we haven't yet got to the point where Dub-Step artists start sampling this stuff and then think they're original!

  • 5 star n the jets were hottt!!!

  • an the ladies r still fine as ever

  • i still listen to all their songs tha is what real music is

  • well this song still on my head/never get over with it

  • well this song still on head/never get over with it

  • I was only a baby in the 80's born in 86 :( ... I wish I could have been older to appreciate this time.. It seemed like a fun time!

  • I still have their LPs. Cassettes got stolen. But the LPs are still in perfect condition. I love this group. They had such a smooth sound and style. Great 80s group.

  • The English Jacksons!!!

  • @1blessedbrotha LOL! I remember that one of them had won a Michael Jackson look-a-like contest once upon a time.

  • @1blessedbrotha

think the same thing most of my friends have never of heard of this group. i love them.

  • @1blessedbrotha How? Not at all not even like the Jacksons, but like so many other groups at the time! They were literally a dime a dozen~

  • I haven't heard this song in a very long time. Reminds me of my crush. JR

  • The lead singer looks a little like jermaine jackson

  • This group was and is THE BOMB!!! They also had the ability to change with the times (like Aretha) which was evident on their 1994 release HEART AND SOUL. I'll never forget when BET played their slow jam "I love you for sentimental reasons" on Midnight Love. It took me about 1 whole minute to realize it was THE Five Star!!!! I also loved the ballad LIVE GIVING LOVE from the Between the Lines album. You can't find that anywhere on YouTube. Hard Race was another good one.

  • Anybody else know that Loose Ends wrote and produced this song? Listen close and you can hear it.

    :D

  • @derthinc Never knew that, but you're right...it does have the "loose Ends sound and feel!

  • janet, rebbie, latoya, jermaine and michael the jackson 5 look alike.

  • Why does everyone compare them to the Jackson 5?? There's three girls in the line up for god sake!!

  • Wow...i had a HUGE crush on Doris back in the day.

  • @belmont751 haha. I was in LOVE with Lorraine!

  • i think Buster was way wrose that Joe i luv 5 star but they like robots... i just sayin..

  • they look like the Jacksons...are they related some how?

  • @heavenshearts81 nah it was kinda the UK's answer or equivelant to the jackson 5 but they had some good songs

  • @heavenshearts81 nah it was kinda the UK's answer or equivelant to the jackson 5 but they had some good songs kinda made for that era right place right time sorta thing.

  • I know this'll be perceived the wrong way but I have to give Denise props for her lip synching. There are legendary performers who can't make it look even a quarter as convincing as she can. This band was extremely talented.

  • Music...the one and only time machine.

  • I believe the group Loose Ends produced them!!

  • Love this song. Their outfits remind me of The Power Pack comic....haha

  • OK - so some GREAT news for any 5 Star fans.... After 15 years apart, all five siblings are reuniting for a new exclusive UK tour in 2012 !!! To coincide with the release of a new album, Lorraine, Denise, Doris, Stedman and Delroy will be taking to the stage one more time in their REUNION TOUR... • all i can say they look every bit of over process Jerry curls, wet N Wild make up and dark & Lovely honey blond hair dye. and oh yeah Luster silk pink lotion.

  • @xscape2xscape Yep true 80s

  • Way Black When. This is when artist had real talent. Miss those day.

  • the lead singer.i love her.

  • Those step are on POINT!

  • You feeling me?

  • This is SO Loose Ends (produced by the guys who used to be with them).

    Great stuff.

  • @bootsamou Ah Shiat, my my second favorite group of all time, Loose Ends. Now we talking

  • 5 people are stupid!

  • @dacianey3 - it could be the band members that clicked 'dislike' LOL..

  • This was the jam. Still got the 12". One of those sisters, don't think the lead, used to date Eddie Murphy back then in the mid-1980's.

  • @eyesley Yes for a very brief period (to a lot of press speculation), I think it was when he came to the UK. I hated him for it. I had such a big crush on her back in the day

  • This song was indeed a sure shot hit they were very talented.

  • dangh this group was off the charts...please belive in these outfits, i feel like they are about to go mighty morphin power ranger l on my ass 1985 style....and i would be ok with that....hell i would ask if i could a piece of that action get on board with the team and get my own sweetnificent space-tracksuit...helll to the yeah, Five Star PopDIgivolve to....Six Star DANGH

  • I LOVE THIS SONG STILL

  • LOVE THE WOMAN SINGING AND HER ASS MUST SMELL DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-LICIOUS AFTER SWEATING IN THAT JUMP SUIT AND LOVE HER HANDS ALSO THEY'RE PRETTY AND LOVE HER COLOR ,SHE IS GORGEOUS,WILL TONGUE YOUR ASS SWEETNESS

  • Blast from the past..Used to love 5 star when I was a young soul brother lmao.

  • Why why? too much MJ wanna be....Its all your fault..You guys make MJ change his look. " Everybody want to be like Mike'

  • I saw them at the City Hall in Newcastle - they were very good actually! haha

  • They where living in LA back in the 1990's

  • @mrsam2009 I thought they were from England.

  • @Khultan

    They are

  • Nice clean fun...like the good old days...Music if you want to call it music now days is Crap!!!

  • They always had good dance routines.

  • This was my joint!

  • this waz my song when waz 13 ,wat ever happen to them?

  • The good times

  • wow,now i, haven't heard or saw these sibilings since video soul on bet i,remember them gosh!

  • Old School music! I remember when these guys appeared on Soul Train. I thought they were a beautiful looking group of siblings. Thanks for sharing the music! =D

  • 5 Star were so under rated....the harmonies, the melodies, their groove...

  • where are they now?

  • I remember this video even tho it was so long ago!!! I used to listen to this over and over, good memories!!:)

  • @MegaJess1976 me too

  • This group was huge in the mid 80's. They were considered a British version of the Jackson 5.

  • wow

  • I loved this group. I miss the '80's music.

  • They were so good back then.

  • OMG, I was in like with Stedman b/c he resembled MJ.

  • boy, i can listen to this kind of music all day long!!!! Brings back so many memories, when music was fun and enjoyable- and clean!!

  • this is so eighties! so wouldn't see today first of all a family group but one that designed thier costumes, choreographed thier routines and wrote thier songs alone. It's all PR and so institionualised

  • What happen to these guys, anybody know????

  • Year ?

  • and they did not need a reality show/talent competition to succeed. Why did n't Doris let me be the one? :O)

  • Great group, to be honest I'd have to say that a young Janet Jackson pulled away a lot of influence from this group, unless I'm wrong I think Five Star's moves and choreography directly influenced Janet's Rythm Nation album.

  • the one in the yellow is too cute!

  • Maaaaannnnn This song was the S**t back in the day!! It takes me way back. (smile)

  • Great song, beautifully arranged, but the choreography was stiff and lame. Good job in the studio, but they needed more active dance routine.

  • I've been looking for this group on and off for months now. I knew their name was Five Star, so...WHO IN THE HELL put this at the bottom of the search for Five Star. They are musical geniuses! Get your search engine together YOUTUBE!

  • These guys were from Britain and they kicked ass!

  • TVOne should do a Unsung Documentary on them.

  • It sound crazy ass hell, but there is something about the 80s music and video that makes me sad,lol Makes me long for the 80 again. Im an 80s baby.lol

  • @joohsay Not crazy at all. My best friend and I feel the exact same way. It was a time that was so special in Pop culture, that you absolutely had to be there to really know what it was like. I had a lot of hard times in the 80's, but I don't remember any of it because the good times far exceeded them.

  • I really miss this group. This beat is still funky!

  • aparently these lot are shoplifters now

  • Sorry SynthWho, but today's R&B is NO way similar to this. That is absolutely untrue.

  • Today's music sucks compared to this. These kids could REALLY sing and dance.

  • This makes me remember middle school, 6th grade....umm umm ummm:)

  • Okinawa flashbacks,1987, taking marines to the rifle range, Camp Hansen...Semper Fi

  • It's funny how music comes full circle. Today's R&B is very similar to this. Obviously no way as good though.

  • In the 80s Michel Jackson was a HUGE influence on this culture.

  • LOOK AT THIS MAKES ME WONDER WHO came up with the idea for them to act and dress like the Jacksons? THEIR PARENTS? Their dance moves are very stiff and similiar to the Temptations and the Jacksons with too much make up! The head girl obviously supposed to be Michael. She's acting like she concealing her identity by keeping her hair up in a bun. WHY ONE of the BROTHERS aren't a lead singer? This group have a case of the phoneys? I think the girls are the only ones who can sing. GOOD MUSIC THO.

  • They are from Europe-the make up is a bit more dramatic than what we're accustomed to in the US. If you look at alot of OUR performers you'll notice a more dramatic look and even a change of wardrobe when the show goes overseas. They were inspired by the Jackson's-TRUE but they are talented in their own right. EVERYBODY wanted to be the Jacksons-even now so many do.

  • @deefirst Explain exactly why you think they are Jacksons? No one plays instruments on stage. They just happen to be 5 black kids in a group like the Jackson 5. you also contradict yourself by saying their dancing is stiff. Were the Jacksons ever stiff? And how is Denise concealing her identity by putting her hair in a bun? LOL! You must be around 10 years old to come up with such reasoning.

  • @Picture111 it's obvious you have been a fool all your life but don't blame strangers, blame your bloodline!

  • @deefirst So says the biggest Idiot in the world! lol You see five black kids and automatically assume they are Jacksons. I ask you to explain why but you can't and so spew abuse instead. Typical!

  • @Picture111 WHERE DID I ABUSE YOUR SORRY ASS? DON'T BE A SENSITIVE JACKASS! IF YOU CAN'T TAKE IT THEN GO TO BED! STOP KISSING THEIR ASS THEY DON'T GIVE A CARE ABOUT YOUR SMALL ASS! STOP BEING A FOOL!

  • @Picture111 Okie Dokie Idiot!

  • Its cool to see the moves, but it would have been MUCH nicer to hear them sing this live!

  • Yes it would have been nice to hear them do it live but these types of shows are typically lip-sync performances.

  • they all look like the jacksons for some scary ass reason hahahahh

  • @skinpli That was the era of lookalike!

  • @skinpli Yes! When I was little I thought they're the extended 2nd cousins of The Jacksons.

  • @skinpli that was the idea,it was the beath of heavy clone music little effortfor max profitXD

  • Dear Patsy, My DeLorean (Our) has this title on the Plates, LTMEBD1 - for reals. Enjoy. I'll take a picture and send it to you soon, xoxoxo

  • Dear Patsy, My love, I love this song, hope you like it too.... love you always, BFF

  • Ya'll know back then ya'll wanted to rock one of those outfit's stop front in'.LOL

  • hahHAh i wasnt frontin back then this group was tight lmao

  • HA HA that is so true... I was even dressed like Madonna and Blondie whom ever was hot... especially the dance moves......(smile)

  • @Lazzygyrl LOL!!!!!!!! So true!

  • @Lazzygyrl and ow you can ... at the next holloween party

  • The whole group was gorgeous, but those outfits were a true tragedy, even for the 80s! LOL!.

They wore the same thing on "Soul Train!"

  • Those woulda been hot in the neon pastel 80s

  • holy shit i used to love them! i had their tapes and records

  • Let be the one great dance moves great bodys in step with each other and together never miss a beat 5 star is # 1

  • Wonderful post espicaly the dance moves.

Why do people alwayse get accused of coppying big name acts? Whos to say that those big starts dont go to the streets and steel stuff????

  • Just Graduated From High School When This Song Came Out!! Cool!!

  • WBLS Radio Manchester!!!

  • They didn't have surgery they're all very pretty even stedman although he looks a bit dodge now. Delroy looks so young!!! There is a clip of Lorraine and stedman in 'the salon' and this awful camp queen insinuates one of the sisters had surgery as she looks 'more angular'.Truth of the matter is they have just matured from the days of boucing on the stage as a teenagers! The women still look v good and they are about 40 now.

  • @boyrogers1 man i'm nothing but 31 i remember this when this dropped we all had jheri curls and breakdanced

  • I loooove 5 star!!!!!!! especially this song!

  • The 80's rewel.

  • A DEFFO FAVORITE THEY WERE WICKED

  • Their choreography was ALWAYS on point!! Great classic tune and performance...(Doris was always my fav..wink!)

  • this is a five star classic thanks for posting.
