'i didn't vote' okay so shut up and don't complain - if you don't vote then your voice doesn't count, because you didn't say "i don't support either of you fools". if you voted then you can complain because you at least gave some effort to trying to solve the problem.
I didnt vote for the two main parties ...I DID voter for Ralph Nader!
Plus even if one "Doesnt Vote" they still have a voice, in my opinion. The Voting System in America is scandalous... I still do vote...but I fully can see why its almost irrelevant. People who are making change in America shouldnt be graded or awarded based on if they "voted" or not!
i dint vote for the duopoly Obama choice for I could see the writing on the wall. The war(s) rage on .... and yet America public sips latte's and go to sporting events and sleeps peacefully as children die. Thank You for bringing up a very excellent point!
Man, you guys did wonders! Changed my perspective, changed whats happening! Honestly, you did not accomplish anything nor will you. Just an excuse to skip school, waaaaaahhhh, waaaaahhhhh. Fucking idiots.
shit ..probably just jaywalking if you want my opinion. And that "crime" happens all day long downtown....yet I dont ever see anyone getting arrested for it ...unless your a student protesting for peace!
An amazing amount of footage. That's as peacefula group of citizens as you could want...concerned, passionate about the welfare of other humans... too bad you can't say that about our cops!
it was a mix of good/bad, cuz while there were good points/questions askd (dude w/ black hat especially). But a lot of stupid immature assholes shouting "fuck the police, we want peace" + other stuff - not the point at all, it cheapened the ideals/supported bad stereotype of marches. i was there (black kid blue coat at 2:31) i saw 1 of the dumb shits got arrested, he jwalked right into traffic nd some friendly cop tried to stop him he insulted/fought. dumb shit bad press defeats point of PEACE
I hope more student organizations make more Walkouts like this. This moved my mom to tears that this many kids came out to do this. I was in the middle of this and in the front later, but still, really fun!!

you should vote though - but honestly the popular vote should be what counts - and every one who votes should be counted.

So where are the PDX walkouts now that Obama is killing kids in Afghanistan?
Or do you only protest American imperialism when it's conducted by Republicans?

v1m you raise a very good question.

I made the same decision, zebra, not to vote for either half of the duopoly.
It grieves me the peace movement in large measure has forgotten its voice. Has, as you say, got on with its lattes.
Thanks for your thoughtful reply. Peace!

I love how it ends with someone asking "is this the end of the march?"
"no, this is the beginning."
and shit yeah it was. This was probably one of the best things that I have ever participated in.

I was there, there wasn't really a thousand kids, but there was a lot and it was really rad that students can pull this off.
