Folded ones MUST only mate with cats and scottish folds with straight ears (named Scottish shorthairs). Its best an owner seeks professional assistance in breeding them. Calicos and tortoiseshells should always be assumed to be female. The fur-colour gene is carried on the X chromosome in cats, so in order to have two colours (not counting white), they must have two Xs. Any "male" calicos have an extra chromosome, XXY, and that's extremely rare (and renders them sterile as well).

In other words: Yeah, Katamari's female. ;-)
